Extraordinary food. We had beet salad that was extraordinarily goid. Then a delicious bouillbaise, and finally budino for dessert. Each dish was incredibly good. The greeter and waitstaff were friendly and professional. We liked the decor and surroundings. Could not have been a more positive experience. Perfect. And I don't say that lightly.
Initial service was great until a party of 8 men was seated and the wait staff directed all of their attention to this table. Had to wait 30 minutes to get someone's attention to get our bill. Food was great but the lack of attention spoiled the experience.
Short of going to the North End, I would challenge any and all to find an Italian restaurant of finer quality. Located in Waltham, it's nestled on the far end of Main Street - so away from the Moody Street madness, and a gem of a place.
.ore than just your typical red sauce haven. Extremely creative and tasty dishes go beyond the Italian cliches. Veal scalapini was layers of mushrooms, veal, Spinach and other ingredients.

We usually come here in the evening, this being our first time here for lunch. We also introduced another couple to the restaurant. They were duly impressed with the service food quality and ambiance which I knew they would be. Everything was perfect. It will NOT be the last time we are here for lunch. Everything was paced to perfection. Thank you Savlatore and staff for a wonderful afternoon.
Exceptional service and food Great place for dinner or special occasions Highly recommend this restaurant
The food choices and selection are absolutely amazing, everything we had from start to finish was made very well and had a ton of flavor, the interior was very classic Italian restaurant, not my cup of tea but something I'd easily deal with to eat here again Can't make a bad choice on the menu
Delicious meal. Seafood was perfectly prepared. Not inexpensive but great value considering the quality of the meal.
We returned to Il capriccio after a long hiatus. I'm not nuts about the space- I preferred the elegance and coziness of the prior location. That said, the food was really terrific, nearly on a par with the original Il capriccio. My veal was v tender, cooked perfectly and the layering of cheese and prosciutto was divine. Accompanying white beans were a tad salty but delicious. My husband loved the scallops. There were some great red wines by the glass. Affogato for dessert - it was a great meal and we will return.
Excellent service, polite, knowledgeable and very professional. Food was great and having half sized pasta portions provide an excellent option. Highly recommend.

Lovely early dinner. Efficient service from Hendrick. Short rib, squash ravioli, veal and halibut were all enjoyed. Apple crostata was yummy.
We had a little bloop, but was fixed immediately, our server was fantastic! One of our favorite really nice restaurant!
Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants. Love that it's a neighborhood gem without the hassle of driving in to Boston. Love it.
Another great dinner at Il Capriccio.. Who would have thought Haddock and cardamom would go together so well. Hendrix did his usual great job, and Jan Novak proved again that she's the best sommelier in metro Boston
Very good food and excellent service. Waiter was knowledgeable about the extensive wine list and took very good care of our table.
