Jake n JOES Sports Grille - Waltham

We hadn't been to j&Js in awhile. We appreciated their broader menu offerings! I had a delicious harvest salad and my partner had Korean crispy tacos. We both enjoyed our meals. We will be back !

Good food. I had the Shrimp and Avocado Bowl. It was delicious. The burgers my friends ordered looked good. Good service.

Went in on Monday night and the first thing you see when you walk in is the hostess on her phone. First time in the restaurant and not a good impression. The hostess never even smiled when she was done using her phone. Restaurant was not busy but I got sat next to the bathroom? Only reason I’m giving 4 starts is because the server was excellent! Food was great as well. Plenty of TVs, I can see why it is a sports bar haha. Will return when I am back in the area.

We held a rehearsal dinner at JakeNJoes in Waltham in September 2025. With 35-40 people expected, we were allocated the outside patio area around the raised fire pit. It was a wonderful place for a joyful, casual gathering. The environment, food and great staff made it a great evening! We brought a USB stick and the TVs in our area showed photos of the bride and groom. The outdoor area gave us an open feel and there was room for older children to play on the grass outside the patio. We decided to have a buffet and the food was very tasty. We were able to supplement with items from the menu for children. We paid for drinks and Sam, the manager, helped us think through the multiple options. We did not have a speaking program so we did not test whether the space would be good for that. We were so happy to have chosen JakeNJoes for the rehearsal dinner.

Great location, good food, good vibes overall. Would rate 5 stars but would suggest to sell your blueberry beer in bottles. Only reason it was not 5 stars. Becca was awesome, give her some credit where it’s due.

Becca was the best! So timely and made our night! Great job taking our orders and was super fast refilling our pitcher of blueberry beer! We wish we could take it home with us (but they don't have the blueberry beer in to-go bottles :(......) regardless Becca made our night one to remember!

Was having dinner to catch up with an old friend and our server made sure to be attentive but not rush us. She made sure to check in but not hover.

Visited Jake and Joes one evening and while the hostess was pleasant enough from the first to my last interaction with the wait staff was nothing short of terrible. My server came to the table at least five minutes after I was seated which I understand might not be his fault but even from the way he asked for my drink order and especially after I didn’t order alcohol he attitude quickly turned into total indifference. After taking 20 minutes to bring me the drink I ordered he took my order with the same indifference and then the wait began. The restaurant wasn’t at all busy but between my soup and my burger it took at least 20 to 30 minutes between each to get to the table. Again I don’t generally hold it against the server for the speed of the kitchen, I do expect that they will come and check on you from time to time but not tonight. After ~50 minutes my burger arrived, no refill offered for the drink, and no condiments. Before I could realize I didn’t have them I had to wait another 15 minutes for my server to come back by. During this time I tried to catch another server to ask and it’s like they trained them all to do their best to ignore people.

this food was absolutely gross. I ordered chicken wings, when i received the food the hairs were visibly poking out of the chicken. The chicken were undercooked and pink. I paid over $40 for 2 orders and it was not worth it at all.
