My family and I just returned from the Charles River Chapter of the Bay State Council of the Blind Holiday Party at John Brewers. It’s at least the 12th year we have been going there. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. The food is always good and they provide braille menus. We all had a great time.

Fantastic food! Favorite of all time in the area. Everything on the menu tastes amazing. Atmosphere is just as you would want for a tavern!
1/2-price appetizers sounded promising, but the selection didn't appeal. Our turkey burger was fine, but nothing special. Sweet potato fries added a nice touch.

I ordered takeout. I had had the chicken parm panini a few weeks earlier which was great so I tried the adult grilled cheese which was actually a glorified toasted cheese sandwich. There was no toast to the bread and the wasn't melted at all. Only redeeming part of meal was tater tots. Very disappointed
The wings were not freshly made. You can tell they were made from the day before leftover from the night before under heat lamps. I had gotten buffalo wings, and even when I dipped them in the blue cheese there was no remnant of buffalo sauce in it. They were dried. Very disappointed I doubt I’ll be going back there. There was absolutely nobody in there. The wings were warm at best. What a disappointment my first time out in a few years.

Chicken sandwich should be on a bun not bread. Ribs had to much BBQ sauce on it. Chicken pot pie needs to have bigger pieces of chicken in it . Food was very good.
