Jiang Nan used to have excellent food and a variety of menu items, including some excellent traditional Chinese dishes. Apparently, they have decided to reduce their menu to apps and a few combo dishes. Will not be giving them my patronage any longer. Too bad.

I should have believed the negative reviews. Avoid at all costs. I could not eat it. Decided to throw it in the trash and just take an L. Some of the worst food I've ever had. Broccoli was cold and uncooked. A 3 year old could have made better fried pork dumplings. And paper was stuck to the dumplings that I could not get off of some of the dumplings. I'm not even sure what the other stuff was. Maybe stuff they found in the refrigerator. You've been warned!

I liked only 1 of the 5 dishes ordered. The delivery guy hired by the restaurant doesn’t read English and was difficult to communicate with.

Very substantial portion of good quality fresh ingredients. Authentic flavor, not too expensive for lunch. Came with very large shrimp as well, which I prefer.

I am writing specifically about the pork fried rice and pork lo mein. There is something better about these here at this restaurant. In most pork fried-whatever Chinese dishes in other places, the pork part is a red cube of tough fat. Here, the pork part is a slice. The rice and noodles are luscious. This place is a bit uneven. But they are my favorite Chinese delivery in the Waltham area because of this different interpretation of pork. There is some love put into it for deliciousness and that is why I like it.

I would give a zero star if I could. I even suspect those who left review of "authentic Chinese food" were hired to post positive review to promote the new business. Over-priced, low-quality, Americanized (soaking-in-soy sauce), and reheated frozen food is all you get. We were thrill to have a southern Chinese restaurant open nearby but this is beyond disappointing.

Lunchtime during remote work during pandemic times, REALLY craved Chinese food. This turned out to be the only place near me that was open for lunch. Ordered: Shrimp and edamame, scallion pancakes, crispy chicken, and eggrolls. The combos came with full-size package of rice and sweet and sour soup. It was all good! Loved the crispy chicken and the scallion pancakes - well, I order scallion pancakes at every Asian fast food I order from - and it was in the top 5!

I tried this place for the first time this afternoon. Tasty Doubled cooked pork Shanghai style sauteed fish fillet. My doubled cooked pork was flavorful and tasty. Love smoky flavor from the pork plus a bit of fatty part. The sauce comes with my favorite black bean, spicy level was perfect! We enjoyed their high quality of food and delicious mushroom tofu soup very much.Online order was easy and delivery service with fast. Each container was carefully packed with care. Utensils were packed in the plastic bag (not just throw in the bag like some restaurants).Highly recommend. I'll order it again. I feel lucky to live nearby this restaurant! ??

Really nice job on the scallion pancakes two orders in a row. The crab rangoon ? Not so much. Lazily folded over fried wonton wrappers which were too large. I threw away edges of fried wrappers. Who wants a mouthful of fried wonton wrapper ? Not me. Plenty of cream cheese, few aromatics and hardly any crab whatsoever - clearly had been flavored with a kind of crab sauce similar to Vietnamese Fish sauce, or else a very small amount of frozen crab meat was so blended into filling as to be practically undetectable. Not good execution, I'm afraid. Whatever company they order from, or if they prep in house, still thumbs down. The crispy Hu Siang chicken was basically battered, stringy, dry bits of chicken in a sweet soy sauce...again, poorly executed. Not spicy at all although I had requested extra chilies. The noodles with " Hot preserved vegetables " had no pickled vegetables whatsoever, came with a scant cup of pork broth , ho hum cooked yellow noodles , and a tea steamed egg which I removed. Came with steamed box choy. I didn't want bok choy. The pork was thinly sliced, wok cooked, and looked ok. Still couldn't bring myself to sample it. When food is skillfully prepared & carefully presented- business is good. When its poorly and lazily prepared the phone stops ringing. Do better. It's really not rocket science. There is one fry cook in the kitchen who knows how to properly prepare food. Perhaps he or she should be promoted because the scallion pancakes he or she prepares are pretty appetizing. Bravo. You got one dish correct out of the four I ordered.

Very elegant and welcoming spot. They serve large portions and for fair prices. We enjoyed the meals very much and the staff members were super affable and informative. Highly recommended.

Underrated Chinese restaurant. I am normally not a fan of amercanized-chinese food as it's sometimes too greasy/oily for me, but this place has more of the authentic food. They give you so much food. Don't let the small packaging fool you. It is packed!

Very authentic Chinese food! Very authentic Chinese food! Convenient option to order ahead online for speedy pick up. Easy to customize each dish as you wish (in terms of salt/oil/ etc.) Pick-up orders are staples safely and put aside from the front desk to maintain social distancing.
