Not Your Average Joe's - Waltham

You guys have the best carrot cake I have ever had and I've had quite a few,  and the Cape Cod Ruben is delicious. We always have it because neither of us eat meat and it's a nice chance to get the sort-of-Ruben-taste. 

Fun spot with a good variety of eats. Food came very quickly. We got the Cape Cod Reuben Sandwich and the Korean Bowl

Friendly atmosphere and our waitress Marlo was super nice. I would recommend the cheesesteak egg rolls. They were delicious.

Service is SLOW- We grabbed our refills from the bar ourselves, food was decent, but they weren't even busy that night

I was pretty excited about the meatloaf, but it was rubbery, like it had been overcooked. My waitress started off great, but then pretty much disappeared unless I flagged her down. All in all, a disappointment from an out of town visitor.

Waitress was pleasant but mostly unavailable. Food was good, but certainly nothing special. Salt level was on the high side. If they want to be an alternate and peer to chilis or Applebees they've succeeded.

I have had a few foods at Not Your Average Joe's that are much spicier than I am able to tolerate. In the past I have been unable to eat a salmon dish and yesterday I had the same unfortunate experience with the super crunchy salad. After speaking with the manager Caitlin today, hopefully the mystery is solved so that I know what to avoid in the future. She explained that there is red pepper flakes in the orange dressing on the super crunchy salad. I confirmed that when I eat at Not Your Average Joe's I always request the bowl with oil and cheese without the red pepper flakes for this very reason.  It was a pleasure speaking with Caitlin and a great relief that she could identify what was in the food that was causing me such distress. We like Not Your Average Joe's for family get-togethers and now I won't worry about continuing to eat there because I know what to ask to eliminate. 

Bavarian pretzel was delicious and the beer was cold!

The table was ready immediately and the service and food selections were great. Our server was very attentive but not too attentive. And the atmosphere was very pleasant. Definitely will be back...

I've been to many NYAJ in the metro Boston area over the years. This one is a convenient location so I took my friend visiting for the day. While we had an excellent server, her name is Wiam, the food was just mediocre. I love the bread and Parmesan olive oil dip. My grilled chicken sandwich on ciabatta was so overcooked that it was difficult to chew. Not easy in a sandwich.

Interesting menu with good variety. We chose salads, both excellent. Fresh ingredients, good house made dressing. Beware of the bread and olive oil cheese dip - it's tempting to overdo it. Friendly, efficient service. Nice atmosphere.

Friendly service and excellent brunch - the pancakes were excellent and the kids meals are large portions. Stopped in on our way home during a road trip, highly recommend!

Had brunch, it was amazing. The french toast and eggs tasted fresh and the vermont syrup, so tasty.

The table Foccacia bread at the table was simply outstanding, apparently they bake it fresh everyday.

Our server was also attentive and top notch. I can't recommend this stop on your trip enough.

Ordered the Brat Wurst feast - takeout.
The potato salad was rock hard...undercooked potatoes. The brat was burned with very little kraut on top.

Very disappointed as we are usually pleased with our dinners.

This was an Oktober Fest special that needed work!
