Never had a bad experience at pizzis in the 11 years we've been goin! All of the ice cream and deli options are great and the service has always been wonderful (even on the last or first days of school for MacArthur elementary across the street when it's packed). I love the creamsicle twist, my kids are obsessed with the mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone. Over the years we've tried the fun birthday cone dip, smoothies, mason jar sundaes and everything in between. It's alll fantastic
There's all kinds of fun food things inside from cookies and candy to house made salsas and jelly. Even oven ready dinner options.
Parking: If the lot is full if it's not a school day you can park in the school lot and cross the street

Kahula fudge brownie is not a good flavor. It reeks of alcohol more than it tastes of alcohol. The kind that makes you gag when you smell it. The brownie pieces have a weird texture that's chewy, but not fudgy. The portion is also not that big for the price. The only thing is the texture was ok. Would definitely not come again.

I moved to Waltham 3 years ago and this and this is my go to sandwich and ice cream stop! The food is great, sweets fantastic and staff is so wonderful. I had a gentleman today who was in front of me in line and he was unbelievable rude to the young lady at the stand. She handled it with poise and never dropped her smile. I don't like to make reviews but I felt like this lady needed a shout out for her amazing customer service. Around 1:30 pm 7/16/24.

What a great spot for an ice cream on a hot July afternoon. They seemed to have all the ice cream options. Yum!

Cute little place off of Lincoln st. Free parking. They have a tent but no lighting so it’s pitch dark in there. We got vanilla with m&ms and Oreos, just felt like the amount give was a little on the skimp side.

I ordered ahead and the person on the phone was friendly and helpful. But when I arrived, it was like I didn't exist. There was a family ordering and one staff member was helping them, but two staff busied themselves with anything but even acknowledging me with a glance or a brief word.
Nobody else was waiting to be served except me. It took fifteen minutes for anyone to speak to me!
They kept serving other people who arrived rather than talking to me. I was directly in front of the middle window and in full view. The only person who caught my eye was someone who came in and acted like a manager or boss. That person looked away quickly and seemed unwilling to engage or make sure I had service.
It took 30 minutes from my order to make the frappe I requested. They said they'd ran out of oat milk and had gone to the store to get it, and ultimately I guess that wasn't working out, because they offered me a frappe made just with dairy-free ice cream. I suggested they add water to help make it a bit smoother of a blend... and to finish this exchange.
I understand that they may run out of supplies at times. That's unfortunate but not a problem--it happens sometimes. They could have presented more options to me sooner, or said that they just couldn't fill the order and apologized.
My complaint, and why they have one star from me, is that they clearly didn't want to serve me. I'm not sure if that's because I'm trans, fat, wearing a mask, had on a rainbow skirt, some other reason... or a combination.
For a moment, I considered just leaving. They certainly don't deserve my money! But I refused to give them what they clearly wanted: for me to be deterred by their behavior.
I have tried to consider any possible other explanation for their behavior. But they didn't know I was waiting for a pre-order for the first 15 minutes or so--I was just a new customer. But one they didn't think worthy of greeting.
Denying or delaying service to visibly marginalized people is commonplace. It's never right. I hope this establishment will take a look at their practices to ensure that all are served equally in the future.

Ice cream is pretty ok but the prices are absolutely absurd. I got a SMALL with hot fudge and it was $9 and a not very big scoop. Literally cheaper by volume to buy a pint of Ben and Jerrys. Wouldn't go again literally just because of the price to volume ratio. If I can get more ice cream from a gourmet store brand for less money, why would I go here?

I went to this ice cream shop with high hopes, but my experience left me incredibly disappointed. First off, I couldn't believe that two small soft serves ended up costing me $18 – talk about overpriced! And to add insult to injury, when I placed my order, the staff actually referred to it as a "nightmare." I ordered a soft serve with a chocolate dip and was told by a server it would be “nightmare” Not only was the price outrageous, but the customer service was downright rude. I definitely won't be coming back anytime soon.
