Ordered a pizza well before closing and it did not arrive. The app claimed that it was delivered, and when I called the place I got scolded for asking where my missing (paid for) food was. I would not recommend this place to anyone, which is a shame, because I wanted to support a local business.
I’ve ordered delivery here twice and it’s been delicious both times! So reasonably priced and they even got my special instructions. The cheese pizza is perfectly garlicky and buffalo chicken is well balanced.

Ordered the “sirloin” steak Was up with food poisoning all night. Will never order there again. The lady who answers the phone is so rude and miserable too. Lastly, place just looks dirty . Never order from here .

I had a terrible experience at Tara Restaurant and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. My first interaction was over the phone, and the person taking my order was extremely rude. Despite this, I decided to give them a chance since it was my first day in Waltham. I was told the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes, so I arrived 20 minutes later.
When I got there, the service was just as bad in person. I was completely ignored upon arrival, with no greeting or acknowledgment, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. There were three employees visibly working, yet I had to repeatedly try to get their attention. When I finally did, the older woman who seemed to be in charge was incredibly rude, telling me they were just starting to make my order—two pizzas and wings. When I asked how long it would take, she brusquely replied 5-10 minutes.
I came back 10 minutes later, only to be ignored again. As I waited, I noticed that none of the staff were wearing gloves or hair nets, despite visibly sweating. I saw the older woman handling various items like phones, pens, and papers before touching the food without washing her hands. I asked, in Spanish, if they don’t use gloves, and she rudely replied that they don’t and asked, “What about it?” When I expressed discomfort due to a health condition that makes me sensitive to unsanitary conditions, she began yelling at me, questioning my condition, and telling me I shouldn’t be ordering out. That woman had no manners yelling to the top of her lungs at me.
Her behavior was so disrespectful that my sister and brother had to step in. Eventually, she refunded my money, but the whole experience was appalling. Also, they have a sign that says they will charge you more if they feel you have an attitude. This place is dirty, overpriced, and the staff clearly has no regard for basic hygiene or customer service. I highly recommend staying far away from Tara Restaurant.

Absolutely TERRIBLE SERVICE. Do NOT go here if you want to be treated kindly. I placed a mobile order and when I went to go get it, the cashier told me he “didn’t get the order” even though I paid for it. He told me there was nothing he could do and said it wasn’t his problem, then proceeded to shoo me away. I have never felt so insulted by another person.
UPDATE: Turns out they did have the order so it actually was his problem. I told them to cancel it because there was absolutely no way that I will ever be supporting this terrible business after the way they treated me.

Awful service, old guy with a beard at the register was extremely rude and did not serve food we had ordered online through ActiveMenus. It seemed very dirty inside and the service was unbelievably rude and unhelpful.

Ordered to pick up from grubhub. Apparently the owners fax machine wasnt working properly when I showed up she was so rude because she didnt receive the order because her fax machine didnt print it. I asked for my food since I still pay for it. She asked me to cancel my order and order again on thee store (which I tried but app wouldnt let me becauseit was too late), she called grubhub, refused to make me my food while she was at it even though I said, you know its not really my fault, the order is in I already waited a lot. From the time I order my food by the time I got it it was almost an hour ordeal. If she had just kindly ask me to wait I would have but as a costumer its not my fault and I support latino owned business, I understand frustration but its not my fault and I dont deserve to be treated in such a manner. She didn't even apologized or acknowledge me after she hung up with grubhub. Just the other employee who was there and felt bad for me, made my food and apologized.

I personally like to order from here, their food is amazing, but the lady who answers the phone is not. This time I decided to place an order online to be delivered from THEIR website. I ordered a steak and cheese, She called me screaming at me saying “ who pays 8.00 for a sandwich? “ to which I responded you, because that is what your website states. She proceeded to scream she was only going to put steak in my sandwich because there’s no way im letting you slide with paying 8.00 for a sandwich and not pay for cheese. Im sorry but it’s literally called a steak and cheese ? She purposely made the sandwich VERY salty. I couldn’t even eat it. Also as if im the one who put the price on THEIR website. To top it off she didn’t put any cheese in my steak and cheese. I’m sorry but if you’re having pricing issues, and you see the order is coming from online, check your website before you decide to call a customer screaming. Whoever that lady is, you are very inconsiderate, rude & very miserable.
