Unfortunately this place was disappointing . The food was not flavorful at all . Everything had one plain curry taste . I had chicken MoMo dumplings as appetizer and the chicken was raw and not fully cooked inside and it did tasted funky . Also they were cold .

Outstanding! Spices are carefully selected and cooking process fine tuned to make every dish unique. We have never had such delectable Indian/ Nepali cuisine.

Their Paneer tikka masala and butter naan were delicious! The medium spicy was a little spicier than expected but still really good!

Chulo has managed to squeeze itself into our weekly menu! We seriously can't get enough - its so yummy! We mainly eat a vegetarian diet so we've been trying a new vegetarian dish each week, and thus far, none have disappointed. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. You have to try it!

Additionally, the staff is very kind, friendly, and responsive to their customers needs.

10/10 recommend 👌

The food was exceptional, and beautifully presented. It's a rare experience, for me, to go to a modest restaurant in a modest area and be blown away by exquisite flavors, attention to detail, kind and attentive service, and artful presentation. It's a family-run restaurant, and they clearly take pride in what they do!

First time, they had some unusual dishes (for us) in additional to what we expect at an Indian restaurant. Momo's were good, eggplant good, fish was good, had some interesting looking appetizer plates (will try next time).

Comfy not fancy and good.reasonavle prices.

Ordered takeout, samosas were filled only with flavorless potato
I regret getting the chix chow mein

The customer service was horrible. I had ordered omelet with my thakali set and later the server said they mistakenly made boiled egg. He insisted on saying me to eat the boiled and I thought ok but when after a second I said I would want omelet itself . The server rudely said but you had already agreed upon it and now he will charge me 5 dollars more. Never in my life has a server spoken so badly in the fault of their own. It was only me and my other friend in the restaurant at that time. They were not even busy to have had mistaken my order.

They do a poor job with Nepali thali. Our stomach got upset too, not too bad but still.

If you’re looking for a truly authentic Indian or Nepali dining experience, this place is a must-visit. The chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were absolutely delicious, and the tandoori mix girll was a true culinary delight. The staff were incredibly helpful, and I even discovered they have live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience in Boston. If you’re in Watertown, I highly recommend you give this place a try.
