A gem I wish hadn't taken me so many years to discover!

I swung by with a friend for Sunday afternoon football, and we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was very cozy and perfect for football: not too loud at all, and there were plenty of TVs showing the Pats game & RedZone to be easily viewed from any seats in the joint. The fellow patrons were delightful to hang out with for a few hours, very fun and there were many regulars. The service was fast, friendly, and made us feel like regulars on our first visit.

Prices were extremely reasonable. The food surpassed expectations (especially the fries, they're as good as they look in everyone's pictures)! There was also a great draft beer selection, and the bartender absolutely nailed it serving in chilled glasses.

We will *definitely* be coming back soon!

Fantastic fried pickles and excellent burgers. The bar staff is super friendly, makes great drinks, and is on point. We love coming here for a drink or a bite.

My boyfriend and I came in hungover from the Morgan Wallen concert and Laurel completely turned our day around. She was so personable, funny, and just a blast to talk to—exactly the kind of bartender you hope to have when you need some good energy. She took such great care of us and made the whole experience memorable. She’s there on Sundays, so we’ll definitely be back for football season. We live right around the corner and are so glad we found her—Laurel is the best!

Food was great and they played “I 2 I” from the 1995 Goofy Movie so they are my new favorite spot.

Good pub with comfortable seating and friendly staff. Gluten free burgers available. Lots of parking on the side.

It’s unfortunate I’m giving a mid rating because this place is great with a wonderful staff and great selection of meals and drinks.

Came here to try their Rueben, and it was a let down. Bread was soggy and had a taste of cardboard. The meat was extra fatty which I’ve had before but meat tasted like it was pulling out of a bag and warmed up for a bit then dropped on the plate. The sauerkraut was expected to be flavorful and it only came to be subpar. The only saving grace for the sandwich was the dressing and the pickles.

I would highly recommend anyone to get anything else on the menu. Incredible wings with great many sauces. Great beer selection too. But the Rueben is a definite no.

Happened to be in Watertown, googled nearby restaurants for lunch and Halfway cafe came up as a suggestion. It was only a mile away, so I decided to try it out. In business since 1964, it turned out to be a lively place with friendly staff and good food. I ordered a beer, which came with a small bowl of movie theater popcorn to much in while I waited for my grilled chicken sandwich. I enjoyed my yummy lunch while watching the French open on one of the large screen tv’s. A nice place to hang if you find yourself in Watertown.

Always great. Friendly!! My granddaughter came with us, and brought along a large Easter bunny doll. The manager of the restaurant brought some fresh carrots for the bunny. Nice touch! This was our 6th visit to Halfway. And the selection of beers is extensive. Maybe we'll sit at the bar next time.

One of my favorite dive bars with an amazing summer menu. Lobster rolls and clams for a decent price, good portions and no wait AND you don't have to drive into the city for any of it ?? Trivia nights are also great, but sit closer to the guy because it's the pen/paper/ runner style instead of the modern ones where you submit on your phone. I love the staff here, they always get the job done right.

Recommended dishes: Popcorn, Boneless or Bone in Fried Pickles, Buenos Nachos, Fish and Chips, Smoke House Burger

Whole belly clams for $28.95: They were tasty but for that price the meager portion (about 1 cup) that I received was shameful.

Steak tips and onion rings were alright. Fries...not so much.
