In my partner's words: "It became my favorite restaurant in the entire state".I couldn't believe that each one of the small plates we tried (Spanish style tapas) was excellent!! You can't go wrong with anything in that menu. We tried the Local Farm Corn Soup, Uruguayan Style Beef Empanada, Wood Grilled Poussin Chicken, Wild Mushrooms in Escabeche, and the Wood Grilled Pork Sausage. I'm not hyperbolizing when I say this is the best chicken I ever had. ...Cherry on top, cocktails are excellent (try the Fig Infused Bourbon Old Fashioned) and the Alfajores where delicious. ?Give it a try, you won't regret it ?

An incredible Uruguayan restaurant! The menu is delicious and the presentation is incredible. The service is excellent, with so much attention and care. And the restaurant is impeccably decorated and feels so cozy! The owners are so sweet and kind, ensuring that you'll have a wonderful time. A great place for dates, group dinners, catching up with friends, or events. Their drink menu is extensive and full of delicious options. Can't wait to return!

This was a find that I am so happy to have discovered!I held my spouse's birthday dinner at La Bodega recently, and it was as delightful as I'd hoped. The ambiance is truly magical, and we had a table in the middle of the rail car side which was especially fun.The service was topnotch, with me realizing later that most of our service was from the co-owner/chef himself. And the food...wow! I had never had Uruguayan cuisine before, nor knew what to expect, but it was so very delicious it's hard to put into words. I had been a bit wary that it'd be too stuffy for us, but this largely shareables restaurant has meaty, hearty food that sticks to your ribs in the best of ways. We basically got a few orders of (almost) everything and it tantalized the tastebuds for all, including the one vegetarian in our group of 6. Hands down one of my favorite meals in Boston.I also really appreciated the ability to text for a reservation since being an Elder Millennial that is my preferred form of communication.

If you haven’t tried La Bodega- get a reservation there asap! Unbelievable food, atmosphere, service, and wine. This was my second time here and can’t wait to go back. Each dish is more beautiful than the last. Love the kale salad, flounder, chickpea dish, butternut squash, and the cheesecake is a must!
