Massis is a great Middle Eastern bakery/market. No eat-in accommodations; this is not a restaurant or cafe. Sandwiches and baked good are excellent! Very good selection and variety of quality authentic Middle Eastern groceries, spices, and condiments, and there's a deli. Highly recommended!
By far the best hummus out of all of the Armenian bakeries around! Staff is friendly and helpful. A wide range of yummy products!
Great variety of foods! 😋
Delicious walnut maamoul, namoura and bird nest
I visited Massis Market a few months ago, but I just remembered to share my experience. I went specifically to buy olives, and the staff recommended their in-house olives, which were sold in containers. I ended up purchasing two types: Kalamata (dark purple-black) and green Syrian olives.
The Kalamata olives were decent, but the green Syrian olives had absolutely no flavor. No one at home liked them—not even our guests. They were so bland that I ended up throwing them away. I’m surprised the market doesn’t offer samples so customers can taste before buying.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for olives. I should have just gone with factory-sealed cans—they likely would have tasted better.
Lovely Armenian food market. Everything is curated beautifully and organized in such a way that shopping is quite easy. Foods are quite good as well.
The Mediterranean olive wrap and veg kibbeh are both A+. Friendly people, great service and groceries with delicious prepared foods.
Great food. Lehmejune was fantastic.

I grew up in the Boston area and my family went to Massis every week to stock up on the best Middle Eastern food and pastries. I make sure to come by every time I come back to visit my family, and am reminded of my childhood! So many delicious food options, including Tabbouleh, Lahmajune , fresh pita, kibbeh, and more.

Lovely small Armenian bakery & grocery. Has all your staples for traditional Armenian, Persian, Turkish, Syrian, etc. cooking & the Baklava, Birds Nest, & Bourma was AMAZING!They were kind & fun to talk to, I had a great time experiencing my Armenian culture for the first time & they were so welcoming! I will certainly be back the next time I visit town.
Vegetarian options: Selection of fruits, vegetables, & pastries etc. Available for those who are looking to meat.
Kid-friendliness: It’s a smaller space, so maybe not great for strollers or large family visits especially with small children. But it’s kid friendly in that you could still shop here with your kids or grab a quick bite from the bakery!

I’ve forgotten what hummus is supposed to taste like. Had their hummus recently at the hour of one of their regular customers. I live 40min away and I’ll go out of my way to get their hummus. Baked goods are delicious. Good array of near east products that my Egyptian mother-in-law likes to cook with. Friendly and helpful staff. Can’t wait to try the shawarma next time, there’s a couple tables to sit and eat at.
