Not Your Average Joe's - Watertown

I was pleasantly impressed with the food quality.They got us a booth and my kids were given some fun activities so that was thoughtful. I had a beginner server who forgot to bring the apps out and then the food runner brought the main dish out first so we had app and dinner on the table at the same time. I went here with the family manly because they were on the In Kind app.

In my experience, NYAJs doesn't fail to disappoint. This time around ... requested a booth, didn't get it ... undermanned waitstaff resulted in my dining party going unacknowledged for an extended period (no welcome, no water, no complimentary bread) ... appetizers were followed by our main courses less than two minutes later ... seasonal dessert (apple crumble) was supposed to be served warm but arrived barely at room temperature ... against my better judgment, I used my $15 birthday reward as a chance to give NYAJs a shot at redemption, but yeah I'm thinking “Below Average Joe's” would be fair rebranding.

I had not been to a Not your Average Joe's for quite some time, however, I liked the diverse menu options and decided to give it another try. My wife and I had a great experience. The bread was delicious (and served with a cheese, canola oil mixture that was suprisingly good). The Ahi Tuna appetizer was terrific, as was the Korean noodle bowl I ordered. My wife got the burger and a dirty martini - both were solid! Of the two drinks I had, I liked the PBJ the best. Finally our waitress, who also worked behind the bar, was terrific! Attentive, had good suggestions, and was a great ambassador for the restaurant.

We had poor service the entire time we were there. The food was OK, but certainly not enough for the prices that they're expecting. We also had a special event that was ignored after multiple requests to the staff. Very.

This was a fantastic find. The pizza was really good. I hope to be able to come back.

Celiac friendly with a clearly marked menu and knowledgeable servers. Even had gluten free bread to bring to the table.

Group dinner with 45..they handled it smoothly we had 4 choices for entree. Picture is veggie bowl was excellent not mushy perfectly seasoned. Other options bbq meatliaf w mashed potatoes...husband loved it ..bang bang shrimp and mustard crusted chicken. All were great. Saw lots of pizza and takeout go out the door on Friday night..nice patio and bar too. Would love opportunity to explore more of menu...

Highly recommend the mustard crusted chicken - great flavor and texture. The jambalaya was good but not as good as chicken. Service was attentive and friendly.

Food was average. Atmosphere was dead. Waiter wasn’t the nicest. Also two mice were running around when I was there and it really freaked me out.

The last time I came here, I ordered fried fish. And it was smelling really old and bad. I had to return it, I couldn’t eat it (it wasn’t the fish odor that it has). Never returning again. 🤢
