Really lovely local diner. Can get very crowded as it's so good. We like to go during off hours. Food is cooked to perfection. Staff is super nice.

Solid diner experience

Old school diner feel but clean and servers are attentive. Food is consistent and quality is better than most other diners around. If you're coming on the weekend, come early, before 10am for less wait. On the weekdays, they're busy too but not as packed so should be able to get a table with little to no wait. They post specials and uses seasonal ingredients.

we came in for a day. service was great and friendly. we got our food pretty fast. they had pumpkin pancakes as a special. one of the best pancakes I have ever had. we were a group of 6 and had a tight fit in a booth, something to note if you are a large group. we went back the next day too.

I have been to The Diner many times and have never had a bad meal. This place is small but works like a well oiled machine. There is always a line, we only waited 10 minutes, but they get you seated, get your order and get your food, and get you out of there, but not in a rushed kind of way but in a great breakfast joint way. I love breakfast and this place serves a great one. I ordered two eggs, scali toast, home fries and the homemade corned beef hash. Everything was cooked perfect. If you have never had homemade hash you need to come here, you will never eat that canned stuff again. The homemade hash is amazing, It's light and flavorful and worth a trip. The menu has so much to offer, my son loved his pancakes. I also got a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, which may have been the best OJ I have ever had. Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Came back to my hometown to visit family for breakfast. We looked for a local place, and found The Diner in Watertown sq area. My family of 7 that day could not stop raving about how great the food was!! Everything was delish, cooked perfectly and even the coffee was perfect.Despite the lack of parking , I feel it was well worth the walk from where we found parking to the restaurant.

This place was very busy on the Sunday morning we showed up but it was clear why as soon as we got there. It's a cozy little diner but the food is anything but quaint.I got the diner special (eggs, home fries, a meat, and pancakes) which is my go to choice for evaluating diner breakfasts. I chose the ham and it was delicious and had the perfect thickness. The pancakes were just what you want, enormous.I wish my group had ordered a variety of things but everyone got the same thing. I will say that their specials were very tempting and almost made me deviate from my norm.I also think it's a nice touch that they let you grab a cup of coffee while you wait outside. Especially nice on a chilly day. The service was also great and everyone was very friendly.

I got an Italian omelette with multigrain bread and large freshly squeezed orange juice, and like them all. Inside was crowded and loud, about ~30 minutes wait time. They don’t offer outdoor dining.

Most people love this place, for good reason. The food is better than most diners. Then why The owner is a nice lady (in my opinion); she is a hard worker. She's a Rosie the Riveter of diner owners. However, if you are on a GLUTEN-FREE diet, you'll be restricted to a poached egg and a side of fruit. Even a steak and egg could not be accommodated due to cross contamination. They apparently "have only one skillet." Like, say again? OK, whatever. I like the owner, I like the food that my family can enjoy. My family will go and I'll just stay home and make my own steak n eggs n GF toast.Dietary restrictions: Not gluten free friendly.

Amazing service. Like when you were a kid going out to a family diner. Great food options, fresh, well cooked and presented. Clean. No corners cut. If you're in town and have the opportunity, you will not be disappointed with a meal here!
