This is a cash only establishment.Had the corn beef hash with 2 eggs (they don't do poached on the weekends); my wife had the egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Both super and ample servings!

Unassuming from the outside - and from the inside as well, truth be told - except for its waitress warrens (yes, they're all waitresses), allowing the them to move between booths and counters without actually being in the customer's aisles. While not a diner per se, there is a sense that it's a place stuck in its own time. Between 7am and 11am you can find the Greatest Generation regulars at the counter nearest the ATM and all manner of humanity though the rest of the place. Good food, generous portions and reasonable prices. And you can get Scali bread there; a Boston-centric specialty. The only downside (if you're in a rush) is that things move very slowly there. DO NOT EXPECT SPEEDY SERVICE. And on the weekends, there's a likely chance you'll have to wait for a table to open up; it's a popular no-frills local spot for sure.

This is a solid diner-style spot for breakfast. Come with an appetite because the portions are BIG and also reasonably priced! The food and service are good, I've never had an issue with either of them. The only drawback is that it can feel a bit crowded and loud during peak hours, so plan accordingly if you're aiming for a quiet breakfast/brunch. Also, be aware, they only take cash. They have an ATM in the back so it's not a problem, but I feel as if that could be advertised a bit better.

If you want to capture the dinner style experience with large portions and very reasonable prices then Tresca's is certainly worth a visit, but remember to bring cash.They serve breakfast and lunch in a 60's style linoleum booths and vinyl bar seating. The servers are quick and considerate, so tip accordingly. You should arrive hungry because the portions are impressive. You certainly won't leave hungry.This isn't trendy or upscale fare. It's very traditional dinner food that's fresh and well prepared. I favor the hash. Make sure to declare any food allergies prior to ordering so accommodations can be made if possible.Drop by and take a paper menu. I didn't find a web site for them. They've been servicing Watertown for decades with great success.
