Uncommon Grounds is a popular breakfast spot in East Watertown, known for its delicious food and good coffee. The California Omlette and California Benedict are highly recommended, along with the new Gobbler pressed sandwich and breakfast tostado plate. While the service can be a bit unconventional, with customers needing to order at the counter, the staff is friendly. Seating can be limited during colder months, but the outside seating is a nice touch when the weather is nice. The lattes are to die for, and most breakfast items come with toast and home fries. Pricing is very fair for the generous portions. A couple of downsides: it's impossible to find a phone number to call for takeout, and online orders don’t allow customizations for dietary restrictions. The restaurant's charm and quality food make it a local favorite.
