We went for lunch. My wife had lomein noodle with shrimp and it was quite tasty. However, my choice of Chirashi Sushi, priced at $60 was, was quite disappointing. I was expecting to see at least 7 different kinds of fresh sashimi, but it wasn’t the case. I felt like eating &10 chirashi bento.

Personally I would not have changed the name, but I think it's really funny they did. Delicious and good service, food is always ready quickly for pickup too. Yaki Udon and Taro bubble tea are my favorites, sushi is lovely as well. Salmon avocado roll and shrimp teriyaki are great. Miso soup always delicious.

The sushi was not the typical basic types but were unique art pieces that resembled the affordable restaurant and the unique Japanese style they have. The complimentary tiramisu with a lububu was a delightful surprise, highlighting their hospitality. A great spot for innovative sushi!

Incredible food and quality, customer service is top notch!! The bad reviews for this place have no idea how sushi service/restaurants operate in a quality environment. I had their Toro Special and it was the best toro I have ever had! It took a while to come out (totally fine, quality takes time!) and for the wait they offered a dessert. Totally understandable and we will definitely be back. Such a great restaurant.

I've been here a couple times to sit at the bar, chill, watch some sports or whatever they had on, and have good sushi. I can say that I accomplished all of those every time I have gone. The service is amazing, I have never had to wait too long or had any reason to complain about the food/drinks. My go to is the lychee cocktail- it's amazing every time. I usually get the sushi special but recently tried the sashimi special because... I wanted to. WOW- it was so good. I got an extra few slices of a fish I really liked, they even served that like it was a priceless piece of jewelry. I have a picture of that, really regret not taking a picture of the full course because the set was beautiful. If you are looking for good sushi in the Wellesley area, you're in luck!

I really love the food here but disappointed when I came In today And immediately the bartender said, these seats are reservation only…. At the bar. Also, there were TWO people at the bar and all the other seats were empty. I planned to order food to go and grab a drink while waiting for my food to go, after a long stressful day…. I have done this many times there, never a problem but reservations at any bar ….. especially an empty one at 6pm 😂 that is how you lose money. I am Next door at lockheart where it is welcoming and friendly and you can Never go wrong, having a cocktail while I wait for my food I ordered to go. Sadly, will not return to Takara Wellesley.
