Incredibly delicious place but I wish they would bring back the breakfast!! That was the best breakfast in town easily

This is a great restaurant with an incredibly dedicated team and owner. They’ve gone an amazing job with the place. The live music is a lovely touch and the food is delicious. If you’re looking for a simple, relaxed affair with creative (and reliable) food, this is the place to go. A wellfleet staple.

We LOVE to come here for drinks and night just as much as we love dinner here. They thought of it all: not-too-expensive, unique and delicious cape items like the clam empanada, great drinks, beautiful old tavern that has been here forever. All that and they are open in the off season too.

Very welcoming staff. Enjoyed the Irish Music. Good atmosphere. Very friendly owner who shared her stories with us. We totally enjoyed our evening and the food! We’ll definitely be back, hopefully to enjoy their autumn menu and fireplace.

Great interior setup, very cozy and the live music does add to a great experience. The service could be a better and attentive. The food is good and so were the drinks.

We found ourselves looking for food in Wellfleet around 9PM on the night after Independence Day. Barely any restaurant near us was still serving food. We were turned away from trusty Mac’s Shack because it was too busy, so we ended up at The Fox and Crow unplanned. Our entire group left beyond glad about this after our meals. Smaller menu, better quality. The atmosphere is super welcoming with very big and open exterior and interior dining areas, nicely contrasted in design. Low ambient light lit the indoor room. Each table had a little lamp, a tiny salt and pepper shaker, and real plants and flowers. Bathrooms were spacious, clean, and tidy.Service was excellent, even above and beyond. Our table drank a lot of water and never had to wait for more, thanks to the efficiency of both server and bussers. Our server Farrah, on top of checking in with us at least a couple times each course, knew and shared the history of the restaurant’s location. We had appetizers, entrees, and dessert. This place aced the sauce game from first course to last. Lemon aioli with the calamari really was the star of that plate: super light and fluffy, just the right amount of lemon. Pickled Fresno pepper, a super spicy and fun surprise on the calamari, was not overly pickled; just enough to soften it up and add a hint of flavor.Carrot appetizer, as almost everything here from food to surroundings, was well thought out. Usually only pre-trimmed wedges of carrots end up on a plate, but here we got the entire carrot. Rich and balanced arugula pesto sauce framed the roots with a subtle twist of balsamic reduction. We couldn’t leave any of the sauce on the plate, it was that good. Even our friend who doesn’t usually like arugula enjoyed this pesto. The tomatoes were a delightful pairing.Papas bravas, served as little hemispheres of baby potatoes, turned out perfectly crispy with the choicest amount of seasoning. The papas were not tossed or evenly coated in seasoning but rather concentrated in a dust of seasoning on top that mellowed out when chewed. The mouth gets a pop and spreads it out. Best potatoes I’ve had so far the entire calendar year, hands down. One friend doesn’t usually like kimchi, but he was pleased with the kimchi on my fried chicken sandwich. Moved mountains there. It felt milder than other kimchis, so it didn’t clash. It provided a lively curveball to an old American staple. Sauce complimented the sandwich nicely, of course.Didn’t expect anything different at this point. Sauces were also fantastic on the burger and the lamb lollipops. Cole slaw was not soaked in mayo. It reminded me of curtido, the traditional accompanying slaw to pupusas. I was so happy to see this variation instead of the standard cookout style. No doubt everything about the dessert was homemade, including the jam. Blueberry cheesecake came out not as a slice but in a jar. Layers included, from the bottom up, graham, sweet jam, a custom cheesecake base more tangy than the standard, and fresh blueberries on top. We left nothing in the jar when we were done. The whole meal felt like it came from grandma’s house. Everything was so carefully considered, down to so many lovely details and special touches. A contrast to how haphazardly we made the decision to dine here. Sometimes things really do happen for a reason.

Just had dinner here, and it was a delight start to finish! Great service (thanks Farrah) Fabulous food (Thanks Matthew) Beautiful location. Trudy (sp?) has created a wonderful dining experience that really stands out on the Cape. My wife and I are hard to please at times, and we recommend this restaurant with no reservations at all! Thai you everybody at The Fox and Crow

Truly an outstanding kitchen. . .a foodie must try . . . creative cuisine beautifully presented. We had four different apps and three different mains. Not one miss out of the seven. The Dirt Farm salad was the best salad we have had in years. The calamari were obviously fresh and the batter was very much like a fine tempura. A baby carrot app might not sound like much but the sauce/dressing made it a big hit. The braised short ribs are what you hope for but often don't get when you order them - super tender and flavorful. The cod main was lovely and the cod itself was a 5 star piece of fish. We did not have any vegans in our group but we all agreed that the eggplant confit was a beautiful medley of flavors and well worth ordering. Excellent vibe and service. The wine list is eclectic with friendly prices. Fox and Crow is fortunate to have one of Cape Cod's best chefs.

Got a really weird vibe from this place when I visited with my nonbinary friend. We definitely weren't made to feel welcome.

Quaint little old home with dark wood features and outside seating. Had the chorizo broiled oysters and smash burger - delish!

Went in to old beautiful place for a drink and an appetizer.A scant . and when a say “scant” tequila - $25 , yes not a typo . And a skimpy eggplant app- $16….. are you kidding me?I can’t comprehend these prices as (2) drinks pay for a bottle! mind boggling

We love the Fox and Crow! It's a fantastic spot for breakfast and for dinner. Their breakfast sandwiches are divine, and for dinner, they've got the best chicken sandwich in the business! But we greatly love the atmosphere, the music, and the warmth of the staff. We look forward to eating there every time we're on Cape Cod!

Sunday night at Fox and Crow was a highlight of our Wellfleet weekend. Three of us ordered an assortment of offerings, from the veggie mezze plate, to burgers and cioppino.Every dish was farm to table quality, casually but beautifully presented, and delicious. Our server was friendly and “on it”. Delightful live Irish music only added to the warm ambience. A must return!
