I hate saltcod, ick. But a friend said be sure to try the brandade with apple. So we did, and it was indeed Fabulous!! And exquisitely fresh oysters, efficiently and cheerfully served. A wonderful housemade pasta with winter beef sauce Just the best!!
We sat down to a lovely atmosphere, warm and welcoming. There were no specials which was disappointing, it was a Friday night. I had the beet salad to start. It was delicious the presentation was beautiful. I got 2 slivers of pickled onion, there could have been a few more. The entree was less satisfying. I ordered sole, I love sole. The piece of fish was swamped in a sauce with lots of toasted nuts and cooked endive. It was hard to find the fish and I felt the sauce and endive...
We went to The Wicked Oyster on a Saturday night around 5:30pm for their Oyster and Burger Special ... I cannot rave about this place more. The service was incredible, attentive, kind, engaging - really top notch. We were in a group of 4, had martinis, 3 dozen oysters ($10 a dozen!) and three of us ordered the burgers ($15 dollars each). They oysters were fresh and delicious. The burgers were HUGE, cooked to our liking, served with delicious fried smashed potatoes. The atmosphere...
