Met a friend for lunch. Amazing food, requested some extra heat on my curry and they perfectly nailed my request for 7/10

I ordered a dish because a specific ingredient was listed on the menu (snow peas). It arrived without this ingredient and worse was the waitresses opinion that that was ok. This was a specific case where the waitress and not the kitchen was at fault as it turns out they were out of snow peas ….which I should have been told.

A local favorite with outstanding service and authentic Thai cuisine. The duck is delicious, Massaman curry is my “go to.” For apps, the tofu triangles are a must although they have become pricey. This evening I ordered a Blue Moon on draft—look what the bartender created (see photo w/orange moon)!

This is a tough one. It’s a really nice place - slick for West Boylston standards. The food is definitely good with the standard variety of Thai dishes comparable to many Thai restaurants around the country I’ve been. The issue I wanted to point out - and it’s a little petty I suppose - is that the older bartender is not exactly the most attuned given how small the place is with its moderate crowd. When I came in, he was doing dishes and putting them away - and that’s fine its his job - but you get there, no acknowledgment, no welcome, or “I’ll be with you in a minute etc.” that neglect is typical for Manhattan. Not here. Then when I ordered a Matcha Martini, which sounded terrific and was really looking forward to it, he used low shelf crap vodka and bad vanilla infusion. I mean he could have asked me what vodka I wanted and I would have paid extra but no. Seems he was only in his mode. The drink was good but as expected a little headache later with the vodka that Walmart wouldn’t even sell. As for food, I asked if they could make a small portion of a noodle dinner dish- I’d pay full fare I told him as I didn’t want to waste food as that’s all I would have eaten, and he said no, full only, didn’t even try to figure it out. If he was trying to make more money on me, he could have easily done that by going the extra step. I guess it’s “his” bar. Won’t be sitting at the bar any more for food or drink but will order out and sparingly at that. Mgt needs to help him understand reasonable customer asks where more money could be made versus his rules for the customer experience at the bar. And look think I elaborated on this way too much as this was not like some kind of red alarm bad situation. Just a calm regular interaction where just a little more customer attention and accommodation might have gone a longer way to feel like this place is where it should be - a 5.

Really tasty, very spicy noodles. I got the pad thai with the glass noodles and my wife got another noodle dish with beef. We forgot what it was called! But the food was delicious and the service was speedy once we placed our order. 4 stars for the service because it took the waiter a bit of time to actually take our order after we sat down.

I love this restaurant. The food is delicious. The interior of the restaurant is classy and clean. You can see into the kitchen which is nice. However, I only did 3 stars because I scheduled an order ahead of time several hours in advance for a specific pick up time and had to wait 35 minutes after the pickup time. Meanwhile, dine-in customers were coming in and getting their orders before me and dashers were coming in and walking right out. Very frustrating.
