Gerardo's Italian Bakery

Disappointed is an understatement! I called to ask some questions about a custom order and the man I spoke to was just cruel to put it nicely. Fast forward to the pick up of the cake for a very special 40th birthday and the cake was awful! Looked absolutely nothing like what I asked for and wanted to charge full price. I refused to take that cake and picked out a few premade ones because at this point I had to show up with something! I’ve been born and raised in Worcester and at one point Gerardo’s was the place to go!! We will never again be stepping foot into that place.

P.s. to all the others following who have commented in r following TikTok, they absolutely freeze their pastries. That’s why you are getting them rock hard or soggy! I used to work for a large company and did lots of business with them and everything was always coming in frozen! Find a real bakery don’t waste ur money on this place!

What a delightful bakery! So many options, all fresh and delicious. Never disappointed with the product or the experience.

Beautiful bakery with a large selection of sweet treats and reasonable prices. I just visited a few bakeries in the North End of Boston and this place holds its own! The staff here is much friendlier and patient than in Boston as well. I highly recommend a visit. Great surprise gifts and treats for small and large occasions.

Every dessert/pastry we bought was fantastic and good portion sizes. My favorite was the cheese cake and my wife loved the carrot cake. So good

I'm not sure if it's timing or what we chose to bring home (funny bone, choc lobster tail, ricotta cheesecake). Funny bone was dry and hard; tasted frozen and cardboardy. Lobster tails are supposed to be crisp. That's the whole point...these were soggy and dense. The filling was stodgy and hard like butter. Cheesecake was fine flavor wise but the texture was off. I keep wondering if they freeze things and take them out for display or if they keep them in the display cases for too long. Maybe the humidity in your cases is off or it is overfilled. We were really disappointed.

My husband liked the mini cannoli and that was about it. The reviews on Google are so confusing but maybe people who can't bake just take what they can get in West Boylston? Giovanni's in Worcester has great lobster tails. In case anyone is looking for some locally!

My husband and I went here a couple of weeks ago for my birthday cake. I picked out the chocolate Oreo cookie cake. They offer to write on the cake if you'd like. They did a beautiful job on mine. When I tell you this cake is so decadent! It's a chocolate lovers dream!

We've been here many times for cakes for our kids, Italian cookies and other assorted pastries. We always make it a point to stop for cookies for every family party we attend and I'll tell you, they don't last very long! Everything has been absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly and helpful. On our last visit, we even got slices of bakery pizza and a package of bulky rolls from their half off shelf. We'll definitely be back again soon!

We were referred to Gerardo's Bakery by our wedding venue, Grand View Ballroom in Mendon, MA. The wedding venue and Gerardo's partner up which makes the process of picking out your wedding cake (or whatever sort of dessert you should choose) stress free. Gerraro's Italian Bakery were very easy to work with. The cake tasting so much fun! You just tell them when you want the cakes ready for and you go and pick them up and do it on your own time at home. The cakes were all so delicious it was so hard to choose what we wanted. We did 3 tier cake, and each tier was a different flavor. We also opted to do the live cannoli station at our wedding. WHAT A HIT! I highly suggest doing this for your special day. It really stood out to our guests and the cannoli's were phenomenal. They boxed up to go boxes for us and our parents which was so thoughtful because none of us had time to indulge in the live cannoli station during the reception. They also do a free top tier replica of your wedding cake for your one-year anniversary! I highly recommend Gerardos for all of your bakery needs!

Gerardo's did the cake for my wedding. My husband and I love Gerardo's, especially the West Boylston location. Delicious desserts and a great place to just have a coffee and a couple treats as a cute mini date. So when we were planning our wedding we knew we wanted to go with ol' faithful. Their take-home cake tasting kit makes for a really cute at-home date. When I wanted to try something that wasn't in the tasting kit they promptly created a sample for me. We had all cupcakes, in 3 cake flavors with 3 different fillings. Everything was reasonably priced, and the process from ordering to delivery was really seamless.

You should know that your Boston Cream Pie should be listed as one of the 7 wonders of the world. I feel like I just mediated after eating a slice for Thanksgiving. It’s an experience. Namaste

We decided to go with Gerardos to make our wedding cake for multiple reasons. Jessica and Gerardo made the process seamless and easy with their professionalism and expertise in this business. We selected their signature white cake with strawberry ricotta filling after trying the flavors they offer in the wedding cake sampler sold in store. Guests raved about how fresh the cake was, but also about the Italian Cream frosting, how it was just the right amount of sweetness and not so overpowering like how buttercream can be on traditional cakes/ cupcakes. We still receive compliments about our wedding cake from our guests stating that it was “the best wedding cake they have ever had”. I cannot wait to eat it again on my anniversary with the complimentary cake topper they offer couples on their one year anniversary for free! We give all of the Gerardos locations our highest recommendation for all of your Bakery needs!

Love this bakery! Gerardo made our wedding cake 17 years ago! Absolutely love all the pastries but mainly the cannolis and the strawberry ricotta cake! Love that they have gluten free options as well! Over the years I’ve ordered custom made cakes for different occasions and the experience is always great! On time and always very friendly and professional service.
