drove and sat in traffic because of what’s happening on I-90 and got there just to see it was closed .. why wouldn’t you update your hours, so disappointing

Why is the posted sign says closes at 9pm but you are already closed at 8pm?

Went tonight to meolas in West Boylston .. they said they were closing at 8:30 (everything says they close @9) so we had to get something simple, no toppings. Insaneeely rude teenage girl at the window. $16 for two small ice creams. Lazy, don’t wanna work, but wanna charge insane prices. Don’t ever write reviews but this was insane, go somewhere else

Website States they're open sign says they're open drove all the way up here and they're closed
The manager or the owner seems like is fed up at this point. Used to love Meola’s however won’t go again after our last experience. Stood in the line waiting well before the closing time, reached the window and the girl said we are closed and just shut the window. Went to the next window, they decided to take my order while being very impatient and all this time the owner could be heard just being upset and running around in a hurry to close it. Do yourself a favor and drive to Madulka’s instead which has better ice cream, service and lake view.

Ran by very young teenager’s the wait is incredibly long the ice cream is expensive. I bought 2 pints to go. I got home and one of them was 80% full I believe due to the kid who was scooping. Apparently it was a lot of work.

I’ve always enjoyed the ice cream at Meola’s, which makes it especially disappointing to write this. My boyfriend and I arrived at the shop around 8:20 p.m. last night, only to find the doors locked and the lights off, even though the posted closing time is 9 p.m. We were really looking forward to our treat, and it was frustrating to miss out because of an early closure. There were also two other cars pulling in at the same time only to have to turn away in surprise as well. This was the second time in a week this happened.
I’m not sure if the owner is aware, but I hope this is addressed so other customers don’t have the same experience. The ice cream is great, and we’d love to keep coming back, but only if we can count on the hours being accurate.

NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY and Meola’s Wayside shut their windows at 8:55pm. When right on the sign it says open until 9:00pm. Left about 8 of us standing outside wondering what just happened.

One of your servers charge me extra money for just ice cream and your costs doesn’t even make $20 dollars for two ice cream …. It just doesn’t make sense your employee charged too much money and I didn’t buy anything else so she decided I didn’t get any change and she was rude about it too and was very sarcastic about….. I been a customer for four years and she flirted with my husband and forgot to ask me whether I wanted something and she was giving me nasty attitude and stuff and very nasty looks towards me the next time I catch you again guess what I will get my change next time

Just went to Meola‘s in West Boylston and got a maple walnut ice cream cone. It had huge chips of ice in it and the girl “Remi” who waited on us told me she wouldn’t switch out for another flavor or she would have to charge. I even showed her the ice chips. With that said who would pay for another one and take the chance of tossing that one too. Not for anything, 3 of the smallest cones they have came to $19 and some change. I have to say I’ve been going here for years and years, and I never had such a horrible experience.
Pinecroft would never have done that! Actually nor would Maduka ice cream. Both are more reputable places I guess.

Decent ice cream, but of the last two times I went to the West Boylston St location, they had closed early (supposed to be open til 9 and I got there at 8:40). The next time I actually got there in time before closing, but the manager or owner(?) was behind the counter barking orders and rushing his staff through every customer so that they could close. Then they closed down and kicked everyone out of the seating area while multiple groups of customers had just sat down. Very unwelcoming environment, and makes me not want to go back. Don't they want more tips from serving more people!? This would have been unacceptable at any of my previous food service employers. Sad to say Meola's might not be my first choice anymore.

I asked for a sundae with hot fudge on the side. the girl asked the manager and they said no. I asked to speak with the manager and they wouldn't talk to me, said they are busy. won't be coming back.

Very expensive ice cream, but you get a big portion for the kiddie size. Sometimes the kiddie portion is too big. It's about two heaping scoops. The dinning area is nice but in the summer it is usually jam packed. Really a specialty spot for interesting sundaes, not your average soft serve place which might explain the price.
Parking: Parking is minimal, if you go to the back of the stand there is more parking, bit again limited.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, there are several pianos and a few bench swings to enjoy.
