Hands down one of the best things I’ve eaten in ages. The brisket sandwich was unreal — tender, flavorful, and clearly made with love. The herbed sauce, fresh greens, and warm brioche bun came together perfectly.

This food truck is the real deal. Service was a plus and somehow the food was even better ! I’ve been to Michelin star restaurants that don’t compare to mortar and pestle in terms of the quality, quantity, and love these two all star chefs put into their craft. Dan and Leslie show great teamwork and determination that make them an unstoppable duo similar to Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski in their primes. Doing their best Jayson Tatum and Jaylen brown impression with the way they approach and attack their work; Dan being JT, respectfully, of course. Bravo and cheers; if you haven’t been there you need to get to the spot !

This food truck is the best around. The food is always fantastic and the menu changes often enough that a little variety always brings me back. The flavors of Mexico found in some dishes are always fantastic.

I stopped by Mortar and Pestle with three other people on a Saturday afternoon after seeing it was near the reservoir. I had heard good things so we decided to go for lunch. We had an exceptional experience, courtesy of the two owners Dan and Lindsey. The service was prompt and friendly, and our food was delivered to us at our picnic table. We ordered a wide array of their menu, including Pea Falafel, a Salad, a Steak and Cheese, Curry Poutine and two tacos. We also ordered a mint and strawberry agua fresca for each person.
The food was incredible. Everyone at the table finished every single bite of food, and everyone sampled each item. The barbacoa tacos were the best tacos I have ever had, and was a great combination of textures and flavors. I had to stop from ordering more of them to take home. The agua fresca was incredibly refreshing and paired well with my meal. Everyone else raved about the food and discussed when we could return.
Dietary restrictions: Dishes were easily modified in response to multiple food allergies present in the group.
