Directly across the street from the theatre is a can't miss spot. The bartender is stellar. Try the Tomato & Burrata Skillet and Pickled Vegetables. Also if you are a fan, $1 OYSTERS 3-5 PM daily.

Really enjoyed the ambience and decor - cool spot. Food was decent - not amazing. Service was terrible! Sat at the bar both times we’ve been and it’s extremely hard to get service to place a second drink order or close out. The first night we went, someone walked in and both bartenders started doing a wine tasting with him (bartenders were drinking too). I had to go around to that corner of the bar to get the servers attention for our check. The second time, one of the waiters was in some kind of mood. He was stomping his feet and throwing utensils behind the bar. We asked to watch the Nebraska football game (Saturday night in September) and within 10 minutes, the owner came over, didn’t ask anyone and changed the channel, while we were watching.
Consistently excellent! Every visit is a delight, with top-notch service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's rare to find places where the quality and service are so reliable every time. Highly recommend!

First time at the restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Hostess and wait staff all full of smiles and very attentive. Three of us had kabobs and one had steak tips. Everything came out hot and well presented. Very satisfying meal and we'll certainly go back again. The baba ghanoush was a killer appetizer.

This was my first visit to Blue Bird. The reception area is crowded and difficult to navigate- a party of four was waiting to be seated and I could barely open the door to squeeze past. Ended up wandering around to find my friends. Drinks were great and initial service was prompt, friendly and efficient. We skipped apps and each ordered a main. I had the mussels appetizer as my main and it was so salty as to be completely inedible. I’m not sure anyone in the kitchen tasted anything before sending it out. Half the mussels were dried out and also inedible even without the broth. I ate two small pieces of bread that accompanied the meal as my dinner. The server who brought out the mains was so harried that she placed the dish for shells sideways, balanced between a glass and the bowl of mussels, as she was in such a hurry to deliver the food items. One item was wrong, but they replaced it quickly. No one came to ask how the food was at any time, though we were asked many times if we wanted another drink. Service then slowed to a crawl and we finally asked for our check 2 1/2 hours in. That was the first time it was noticed that I hadn’t eaten anything and was asked if everything was okay. My dinner mates seemed to enjoy their food, but alas, I will not be back.

Food was really great but one of the bartenders was so supremely disinterested and unhelpful. We had to pry for a cocktail description (with unusual ingredients) and he was overheard at the drink well speaking poorly about customers. Really put a damper on our celebratory dinner.
