At the last minute, my husband wanted to eat out so I quickly made a reservation at Bluebird Bar in West Newton. It's a cute little place, focused mainly on kebabs. I like that there are many kebab choices and you can order more or fewer depending on how hungry you are. I enjoyed my swordfish kababs, dressed with peppers and onions. The fish was moist and tender and went well with the Caesar salad we split. My husband inhaled his steak tips and French fries. It was a nice evening our, made even nicer because our waiter was lovely and personable. We look forward to a return.

A wonderful neighborhood restaurant/bar. Jazz on Mondays. Service is always excellent! Great food. Definitely recommended.

A last-minute early evening dinner reservation at the bluebird bar in West Newton was an amazing experience. After being warmly welcomed, we seated at a comfortable booth and quickly served our request for a dozen fresh oysters. They were meaty, briney and a nice treat on one of the coldest days this winter. our special cocktails were delicious and the lamb and swordfish kebabs were generous and tasty. We also enjoyed their special ricotta fried dessert with lemon curd. The bluebird bar is a wonderful neighborhood place that is comfortable in inviting. We plan to visit often.

Go for a drink or a hamburger (which I don't eat), but skip the rest of the menu. Worst Cesaer salad of my life...goopy without even any parmesan cheese (I got some after I complained) and of course, no anchoives. the shrimp kabobs sounded interesting, but in reality, there were three shrimp in a pile of what i think was green goddess dressing. my friend had a 'bowl" which sounded good and might have made a good side, but it was too dense and spicy to be edible. still, if they can get their act together, it could be a great place with a nice layout and even music!

Lovely, warm and welcoming. Perfect spot on a cold winter night. Attentive service, and delicious dinner.

The food was very good, but our server seemed either brand new and unprepared or very overwhelmed. She didn't take our order for over half an hour, and some of our food was not delivered as ordered. Despite the less than stellar service, I would still recommend Blue Bird for a very tasty brunch. My group loved the biscuits, the chilaquiles, the avocado toast, and the French toast. All very yummy.

Service was attentive, space was terribly loud, which becomes tough for groups larger than 3-4. Food was very good, trout pate especially. We will certainly come back.

Wonderful and friendly service made up for food that was fine, but not outstanding. Surprisingly, the fatoush salad was our favorite. Beyond that, we found things a bit too salty. We didn't get the burger, but would come back again to try. Several of those went by and looked great.

My wife and I came here for an anniversary celebration, and it did not disappoint. Fantastic music, and the staff provided us with a wonderful evening dinner.

A good neighborhood choice for lunch and dinner. Food is reliably good. Waitstaff is always friendly but last night my guess is they were understaffed. Noise level is high especially if close to the bar and TVs. Prices are moderate. For us a reliably and friendly place to eat out

We use to eat at Bluebird all the time. But lateley they changed the menue and we were very dissapointed from the new menu.
The wings and muscles use to be amazing but since they changed the menu its really bad.
We will not go back there.

Establishment offers an amazing host and table attending staff. They were extremely accommodating about converting drink into a mocktail, one in our company wouldn't stop raving about espresso martini. Loved food, although lamb kebob was a little on the salty side the rest was fantastic including ricotta dessert.
