Ninebark Kitchen + Drinks

Excellent flavors, textures and tastes. Love the extra preparation of long time favorites of chicken, pork and beef. Vegetarian delicious too. A great welcome to Newton. We got take out and that was also plentiful and delicious.

Still getting the kinks out, but nice to have a Mexican option in Newton. The food could have been seasoned more, but arrived hot and plentiful. I plan on returning.

The kitchen was very slow. They are still working out the kinks as they recently opened. Food was ok, nothing special.

Second time here while visiting from out of town. Attentive and friendly server. Drinks were smooth. Food was delicious. Brussels Sprouts with the sweet chili sauce had good balance of heat. Wagu Tips and Steak Frite melted in my mouth!

Fun, cozy neighborhood place. I had the delicious signature house burger, and my companion had tasty steak frites. One small gripe: we arrived for our 6:30 reservation when the restaurant was mostly empty, and we were seated right next to the outer doorway. The restaurant has a vestibule that keeps most of the cold air from coming in, but still I felt a cold draft whenever the door opened. Next time I book, I'll particularly ask to sit farther from the door. 

We always enjoy Ninebark as a local, relaxed pub with a good varied menu and well prepared food. It's definitely more gastro-pub than just pub. Last night we were a party of 4 and had a cozy booth so it was quiet and we were never rushed as we had a lot of catching up to do. We shared the delicious! brussels sprouts and all had burgers and veggie burgers and were quite happy. Will definitely return!

The food was very good. We had the lentil soup, burger, truffle fries and jambalaya. I especially liked the burger and soup. My partner had the sangria which we both liked. I had the pink drink which was just okay. We went on a Friday at 6pm and there were several families there with smaller children. The service was attentive but not pushy. I would go back and I'd recommend it. FYI, we had a really hard time finding a parking spot even in the municipal lots. Leave extra time to find parking.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at this gem in West Newton! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and truly went above and beyond. The staff made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the evening. The food was equally impressive — every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put real care into each plate. Whether you're here for a special occasion or just a great night out, this place delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend!

Came for a beer after dinner and had some phenomenal bread pudding. Good beer selection. Place was nice just kind of lacked an energy.

Bad acoustics. Fair service. Average to below average quality food. Poor cocktails. Chicken Francese and Shrimp fettuccine with scampi sauce lacked flavor and were bland.

The food was very good, the ambiance was great, and the service was top notch. I tried the pumpkin martini and it was fabulous!

We waited an hour and a half and our food never came. When it finally came out of the kitchen the kitchen staff offered it to the wrong table and they took it because they had been waiting equally long. Nothing to do then but walk out.

Very nice gastropub in all respects. Good. Interesting food, atmosphere in all respects, lively but not noisy! Yes!

Food was delicious and well seasoned. Cocktails yummy and reasonably priced. Service attentive but not rushed. We will definitely be back!
