Very friendly and accommodating staff. We have always had generous and delicious breakfasts at thissit-in-a -booth restaurant. The atmosphere is that of a classic diner. The prices are exceptionally reasonable. I encourage all to give it a try.

I went to this restaurant. I sat at the counter, no one helped me. My husband has been hospitalized since March 21st. His favorite food is American chop suey. I wasn’t assured because of my color. I was in the restaurant before closing.

Only person in the restaurant on a Monday morning 8am (1st clue) . Not once did the 2 waitresses ask if I was ok, was the food ok, did I need anything. Omelette was dry and overcooked. The place is just not doing what a good restaurant does. Maybe they should call in some help. As of now, this place is to be avoided. Been a customer there for years but the last owner was abusive to the staff but at least he insisted on customer service. Sad really.

Absolutely loved this place! The portions were great and the prices were even better. Their coffee was exactly what I needed to get through the workday, so, I'm very glad I was able to triple down on the free refills! Our waitress was incredibly friendly to my colleague and I. She made sure we enjoyed our dining experience to the fullest extent. Cant wait to go back and bring my family next time!

Under new management! I've gone in for breakfast twice now and the waitress immediately recognized me. It's a solid, friendly, diner. Tasty pancakes, crispy bacon, and good prices.

As a life long resident of West Rox I've been eating at the Westbury several times a year for decades. I'd witnessed the cook yelling before but wrote it off as your usual colorful Greek diner atmosphere. If you're looking for a basic breakfast they do that pretty well. The waitstaff are generally sweet older women who look nervous and are shouted at endlessly by the owner/cook.Today I went there for lunch instead of my usual breakfast visit.I ordered the Salisbury Steak special. After my waitress walked into the kitchen to make my order I heard a barrage of angry yelling and was informed they were all out of the Salisbury Steak. No problem.I chose the other lunch special, the Open-Faced Turkey Sandwich. I was served two pieces of toast with small piles of frozen, smoked, processed deli turkey covered in a mysterious black fluid. I called the cook over and told him politely the food was frozen, not just cold, frozen. He was good enough to put the entire plate (including the toast) into the microwave for five minutes and present me with a steaming pile of inedible slop. The "gravy" appeared to be burnt coffee and crank-case oil. No one in their right mind would have served this to anyone, especially a guy I know has been serving food for at least 30 years. It's actually a pretty rare cook/restaurant owner who will serve a paying customer something they know is awful and anyone with eyes in their head would know that plate wasn't fit for human consumption.I wasn't in the mood to argue with the cook so I pushed the food around my plate and paid my bill, considering it money well spent to finally learn to stay the hell away from this place. I gave the waitress what I hope was the best tip of her week because there's no way she is paid enough to endure the abuse I witnessed and I will not be darkening their door again. Remarkably bad food in an unsettlingly angry atmosphere.Lunch ended up being a coffee and piece of Iced Lemon Pound Cake from Starbucks next door.

I just love places like this! It's like going to a diner in New York. Good, familiar food cooked well, and very affordable. The owner was there and he was super friendly. Our waitress was very nice as well.
