Smallish and often packed, but never a long wait for their delicious food and great service. If you enjoy eggs Benedict, they have a handful of great options of those, alone!

Parking: They do get busy, and the lot isn't super big, but we've always been able to park and have never waited long for a table.

Sunny Side was my fiancé and my favorite place to eat for breakfast ever!!!! Egg benedict is the best however, the wait time can be very long (longest one time has been 45 mins on average is 30) and there is no place to stand while waiting. It is a very crammed entrance way and They do not take your name or anything. They do not clarify that you need to write your name down on a waiting list. Even when it is your turn (if you know to write your name down) if you are not in the door way or on the bench outside you lose your spot. They need to find a better way of having people wait. A bench outside is not an appropriate waiting area either, especially if it is raining or once the cold and snow comes. They hopefully will expand or have a way of getting groups that are eating out quicker. Also, families tend to finish eating and lounge around for a while.

We found this place by happenstance. We were wearily driving home after a long weekend away and looking for a quick diner-type breakfast place. There was a little bit of a wait when we arrived but the list moved quickly and the staff was friendly. We were so glad we decided to wait when we sat at the open-kitchen counter watching every plate made from scratch and perfect execution. We did not realize this was also a quaint small family restaurant watching various generations interact with large smiles that made everyone feel a part of something special. We had trouble picking any one dish and ended up sharing multiple dishes including a plate of the best homemade perogies for breakfast (better than our own Babcias... Shhh....). The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. We have already discussed taking the 2hour drive from home just to eat here again. Our only regret was not getting something to go for later.

My wife and I entered the restaurant for breakfast, which was very crowded. That's usually a good sign that the food must be pretty good here. I ordered a stack of pancakes with bacon and eggs. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and tasty. The atmosphere there was very nice and friendly; It appears locals frequent this restaurant to meet, greet, and eat. It reminds me of the old TV show "Cheers", except its for the breakfast bunch. The staff are very friendly and made sure that we were happy.

Parking: There is no parking lot for the restaurant (far as I know), so you may have to park on the curb.

Kid-friendliness: As I observed in the restaurant, that Sunmy Side Up is definitely family oriented.

This hidden gem masquerading as a breakfast place actually has the best Polish food in town! REALLY DELICIOUS galumpkis, perogis and bigos! I can’t wait to eat there again!

My wife and I decided to come visit “Sunny side up” for the first time. What caught our attention was the rating that this restaurant had (4.5), so we wanted to give it a try. Now, I hate to be that one customer who is observant and has been waiting for service accordingly. When we arrived, there was already a wait time. There were 3 parties ahead of us. We waited about 25 minutes. Nothing too crazy. When we were called, the host told us, “ sit anywhere you’d like in this area”. We sat down. Another party comes in a minute after we had sat down. And then maybe 5 mins later another party comes in. Our server (Sarah) comes and asks us “what can I get you for drinks”. We told her what we wanted, and she comes and brings our drinks accordingly. My wife goes to the restroom, and while she’s at the restroom. The 2 parties that came in after us, already have there food placed and not even 10 mins, they get there food served. Mind you my wife is already back from the restroom and we are still waiting for our food to be placed. My wife notices our server talking to other employees and serving customers before us. 30 mins have past since we sat down and had our drinks. Finally our server (Sarah) notices that she forgot to place our order and heads over to us. Very kindly she’s asking “what would you like to order”. We place our order. Another 20-25 mins go by for our food to be brought to us. The 2 parties who’ve been served by a different waitress our done eating and our getting ready to pay for there meals. And then finally, our food comes out. I’m not sorry for writing this descriptive review. Because we were expecting good service. Our patience was done after waiting so long just to eat breakfast that we could have made at our home. Now you might say, “then you should’ve made breakfast at home”. And that’s fine. But we wanted to go out and eat breakfast which we rarely do. Because we already cook enough at home lol ?. But honestly speaking. This restaurant is nice inside. The atmosphere is pretty good. The food is average. But the service wasn’t there. Sarah should’ve been more attentive to us when we arrived. Not that she wasn’t doing nothing. But we had other parties being served before us who had came after us. To me service is everything. I work in the industry of serving clients. And all I do is give great service. If a client has an issue with my service I will gladly acknowledge them for that and do whatever it takes to make them happy again. We left from this restaurant unsatisfied and we were bumbed out about the service.

This is what the owner has to say after my review??

“We will kindly ask you to cook at home next time;)”

Me: Very professional and sincere for you to lose potential customers. I understand it’s not easy running a business. But this isn’t how you respond to a review as the owner. What I would’ve expected for a response would be, “very sorry we didn’t meet your expectations, please come back and we will gladly serve you accordingly”……. That’s a much more considerate and professional response. Definitely won’t be recommending this spot to anyone I know.

First want to say the restaurant and atmosphere is really nice , food is average. But just want to say something about the service . No offense but our waitress (Sarah) just wasn't attentive . She made us wait like 35 minutes to take our order then another 25 minutes to have our full order delivered. Once our food was delivered i asked for some butter and it was as if she forgot about that simple part. it took like 15 mins and chatting with her coworkers to realize the butter she had forgotten . Don't want to put her on blast but saw her just roaming around talking with her coworkers when she could've just taken our order. I thought maybe she was taking this long because of the help she was offering to others but no she was just chatting with her coworkers. Just want to let this place know the type of employees they have and service they provide.

This was a really great lunch. I had the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich special, it was so tasty and fresh. My husband had the Reuben and said it was also great. So far the best meal we’ve had since we came to the area to drop our daughter at school. Local, fresh and very nice people working here.

Good food. It's not a cozy space for groups or big families. The service is not the best, but the food was good.

Hidden gem takes incredible pride in their beautifully clean and highly reputable establishment. If you're a breakfast sandwich person, and who isn't, get the Polish breakfast sandwich and try not to eat it too fast.
