We were very impressed with our first visit to Golden Peacock! After discovering that our longtime “go-to” Chinese food establishment in Springfield, underwent a change of ownership (we had been loyal customers there, for over 30 years), and that along with the change of ownership, came changes to the food (not for the better), we realized that we needed to begin a search for a new, replacement “go-to” Chinese restaurant. This “search” led us to Golden Peacock. After reading a number of online reviews, and obtaining some referrals from friends and family, who have also had positive experiences here, we decided to give it a try. The food was very good! The service was impressive, as well! We found the staff to be attentive, very friendly, and well- organized. The atmosphere here, was very inviting. Carpet, tables/booths, bar area, were all very cleanly and tidy. The only minor thing that was somewhat noticeable, on our first-time visit, was that the wallpaper/wall decor was a bit dated, and that some of the wallpaper seams were pealing back a bit, off the wall, in the take-out waiting area. Again, MINOR thing! As far as the food goes, we sampled a variety of our favorite items from the menu, including chicken fingers, pork fried rice, egg rolls, and the general’s chicken. Everything was very good. Prices and food portions were reasonable. We found that the general’s chicken was a bit spicier than we were accustomed to, but aside from the “heat factor”, the flavor and texture was still excellent! The chicken fingers, egg rolls, and pork fried rice, were all very good, as well. Overall, we were very pleased with our first experience at Golden Peacock! We definitely plan on returning soon, to try some additional items off their menu.

Best, home-cooked chinese in the northeast! Its like no other. A friend told me about it and I drive all the way from New York just to get this. Heaping portions, lots of options, and great prices. You have to try it.

Great fruendly service and some of the best teriyaki and boneless ribs I've had. They both were tender and juicy with great flavor. I ordered the generals' chicken extra spicy and they nailed it. Also did a pupu platter for 1 appetizer and it was excellent. My only complaint was most of the food wasn't very hot, just warm. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars. I still think it was some of the best Chinese food I've had we will definitely be back.

We tried Golden Peacock last Friday and boy were we surprised!!! They were absolutely delicious. When we got there there was only 2 tables occupied. That was short lived. The next thing you knew just about every table was full. Also people were lined out the door waiting for their orders to go. When our order arrived it was absolutely delicious. We haven't had pork fried rice this good in years. We will be going back there again in the future.
I live about 3 minutes down the road and they don’t even deliver and no other place around us delivers. If you live in southampton and have no where to order chinese order from golden chopsticks, holyoke. me and my family were starving and we can only eat Chinese food. This was an emergency, and they couldn’t even deliver. This is ridiculous!!!

Embarrassed to have served this to our guests. To be overwhelmed is one thing to disappoint is another. No e causes for this cold, undercooked meal. It was very good . Even tho it was not what we ordered. By the time we got it home we were tired, it had been an exhausting day and we were hungry. Did not call to complain. We would go back but next time we would eat there. My husband went in and paid .. I did not tell him how much. Was suppose to be about $39.00 but it was 58.00+Parking: Lot of cars.. had to ride around a bit , just had to be patient.
