This single handedly almost ruined my babys FIRST birthday.. I placed an order for a very specific cake months in advance knowing that I wouldn’t find it easy to get last minute. I lived out of state at the time & planned the whole party months ahead of time. She was helpful the first couple times we talked, got all the details I wanted & all was good. She sent me her venmo link which I saved for future reference as we were spending a lot of money to sell our house & move back to Massachusetts. I reached out to her via text 2 months prior to the party date, with no response. I reached out a second time 3 weeks later (pic attached) & she did respond the next day, we had a brief phone call, everything was fine. Fast forward to the end of June, I reach out to her again letting her know her venmo link didn’t work & I was unable to send the money for my babys cake. She gave me her name & I went to send the funds which I assumed went through successfully as I never heard from her otherwise & I had to be the one to reach out once again to make sure she received my payment. Less than a week before the party she assures me we are all set for that weekend, the cake will be adorable, but she didn’t receive the payment. So I spent a good chunk of my day, between taking care of my almost 1 year old & between my doctors appointment, on the phone with Venmo customer service & my banks customer service line, neither who could find anything wrong. I text her the next day letting her know about what I found out & she says she will send me a request which I NEVER received. I offered to drop cash off to her, use a different form of payment such as cashapp, give her a credit card number but no.. she says how I am at fault, & shes wasting her time & she wont be able to help me anymore… 3 DAYS BEFORE THE PARTY. I was trying to figure out a way to pay & she wouldn’t even accept my other methods of payment. Plus, what bakery doesn’t accept payment at pickup/delivery?Anyway, like I said at the top, this cake was specific & I will have a run for my money finding a baker to do this cake in 3 days.. luckily I found two amazing women to help me make a cake, not exactly what I expected out of Phyl’s G.I.L.T.E. but it will have to do. My vision of my daughters first birthday, the most important birthday some would say, is ruined.

Phyl is fantastic--she's fun, easy to talk to, and goes the extra mile to take care of her customers (even if that means delivering them cake tasting samples in the middle of a rainstorm!). Phyl was so easy to work with, using primarily text message and a few phone calls to connect. Her cake was DELICIOUS (and got so many compliments from our guests), and it was incredibly reasonably-priced in comparison to all the other shops we looked at. We will come back to Phyl for all our custom cake needs in the future.

Our wedding favors were to die for! Thank goodness we were given a complementary tasting because there were none left at the end of the night! Snack Krack was the perfect treat to send home with our guests. The personalized touch of the stickers added an additional bonus.

She is SO personable and goes the extra mile. Totally recommend, you won’t be disappointed!!

The bakery in a box full of stuffed cupcakes is to die for. I got a 14 pack for $38 delivered for free in Westfield. Phyl is always a joy to work with. The buttercream frosting is out of this world.
