Overpriced for average food. The portions are small, drinks are expensive.
The person training the hostess and appeared to be the owner is a “Pompous SNOB” and she should not be in contact with the patrons. I feel sympathy for the employees and waitstaff there who have always been pleasant and congenial in the past in that woman’s absence.
The staff is great and the service was good. Food over priced !! Tourist trap. Order Stripped Bass special over cook and fish was not fresh ($36.00) the worst meal I have had in a long time. Not many restaurants in the area so they don't care.
Prices are outrageous. The outside bar charged me 13.00 for a very small plastic glass of Chardonnay. It wasn’t an expensive brand. The view is beautiful but not for that price.
Westport locals. We tend to stay away from BE due to all the visitors. We like quiet that's all. Went recently on a "busy" time---food was excellent, bartender awesome! Will go again this summer!
Fantastic visit. Great staff, very accommodating. Food was delicious, view was spectacular. Will definitely be returning.

The 5 of us sat outside which was nice but the food was just ok... stuffed clams were overpowered by chorizo and corn, fried fish & fries were good but we all agreed the cole slaw is the worst we've ever had, lobster roll & grilled sea bass special were ok but not worth returning for & kale ceaser salad was good but charging an extra $14 to add a small, grilled chicken breast to a salad is ridiculous..our waitress seemed like she couldn't be bothered through out our dinner and we didnt even know there were specials until I overheard another waitress tell the table next to us..after I asked that waitress to repeat them to us she went to track down our waitress who had just taken our order..overall, pretty outdoor area overlooking the water and bridge but for us, definitely not worth the 90 minute drive no matter what Chronicle says
