Service was really excellent at this little restaurant, but maybe everything came out a little too fast. Food was very good, but over $200 for 2 people was a little high IMO for a casual eatery... though it is on the water and there really arent any other immediate options in that vicinity. Windows were dirty but the restaurant itself including table, plates, silverware, etc. was very clean, so I think that was because they just reopened from being closed for the winter. The phone wasn't working but they did respond to email very quickly when trying to make a reservation. Parking lot was jammed but there was a little spillover room at the boat ramp (this is off-season and in the evening so be aware that this is NOT going to be the case during the summer and during the day). Nice vibe, people were happy to be there and generally enjoying themselves. Overall, great little place, we had a very nice time, will definitely visit again if possible when next in the area.

Have loved coming here for years. Consistently have used the outside deck bringing plenty of guests over the COVID years when eating inside wasn’t possible.Tonight, we went, hoping to eat on the deck and watch the sunset. The hostess laughed in our face. Too late in the season. (It’s only 55 degrees!) I understand and respect not wanting staff to be cold, but don’t laugh in the face of people who kept your restaurant propped up during COVID and were (literally) willing to sit outside in 32 degrees. Will be back in the spring. Hope for a nicer reception.

Second time here. Dinner at the bar, good atmosphere and service. Ordered the burger with extra crispy bacon and it was excellent! Sadly, the fries were not good. Undercooked, limp and tasteless. Wife got fish sandwich and said it was fine. But her fries were just as bad.

Came to the Back Eddy on a recommendation and it exceeded our expectations! Drinks were great, the outdoor bar was cool! Watching the boats dock was fun! We ordered the appetizer special of Wood Smoked Ribs on a bed of Blue Cheese Slaw. The aroma was mouthwatering!Fried Scallops were amazing!!! Sweet and succulent, just the right size portion with a side of their hand cut French fries with garlic, Parmesan and parsley with garlic aioli! My husband had the South Carolina Backyard Barbecue. So tasty!!!! Loved the homemade baked beans!!!Dessert was was an incredible fudgey mousse with raspberry sauce. Perfect ending for a perfect meal!!!

A scenic restaurant on the water's edge. The food and service were great! And located just a stone's throw away from Horseneck Beach! 10/10

We asked to sit outside and we're taken to a small platform dock way out of the way. No shade. I could see this was a mistake so after roasting for a couple of minutes walked back in and asked for a seat inside. After that all was forgiven. For and service were great.

Inside is acoustic torture. Do not expect to be able to hear or converse with people at your own table. Sat silently the whole time after some yelling. All great otherwise. Good if you have a very loud family.
