Food was terrible. So bad that it compelled me to write my first negative review of a restaurant. Sliders were dry and over cooked. Margarita flatbread was bizarre—sugary and what looked to be basil from a tube poured over it. Salad was absurdly tiny, soggy and bland. Ambience was great—go for the drinks but skip the food.

$8 food at a $20 price… way too overpriced for what you actually get. We ordered the charcuterie board, which was supposed to come with smoked meats, but it came with cheap store pepperoni. The Mozambique shrimp bowl had nothing special, just 5 shrimp and rice for $22. And my husband got the sliders, which honestly were pretty basic.
I think they take advantage of being almost the only place open late in town. Since you don’t have other options, you have to eat what they have.

The most generic food in town. We tried the sliders ($16), shrimp bowl ($22) and ploughman's plate ($21), and each was as generic, a flavorless as the last. The quality and flavor was about what I would expect if I'd assembled the ingredients myself in the parking lot of the grocery store.
The service was fantastic though! - It's just a shame the food is quite pricy, and very basic.

Great little place. Stumbled across it on a Wednesday night. Food, drinks, and staff are all great.

Disappointing. Food across the tables did not look as posh as the descriptions suggest. We tried the Beef sliders, they were tasteless except for char from being burnt black all over to beyond well done and dry. No seasoning used anywhere. A pub would do better, without all the Farm-to-table pretense.

As a Westport local, I can confidently say The Westporter is a gem. They serve up fantastic food and great cocktails in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff is always friendly, and the place is clean and inviting — perfect for a night out with your spouse, family, or friends.
On certain nights, the place really comes alive with locals — it’s not uncommon to find yourself rubbing elbows with half the town as everyone gathers to enjoy a good meal and a craft beer from one of the many local breweries. They also offer a solid selection of other beer brands to suit every taste.
The atmosphere has a cozy, slightly rustic charm that makes it feel both laid-back and special. If you haven’t been to The Westporter yet, you’re truly missing out on a great little spot to relax, enjoy good food, and soak in the local flavor.

Very cute little restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and a small bar. Food came out fast, drinks were yummy, and the food (I got the cauliflower Mozambique bowl) was really good and filling. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Janice Dey is all about the food! She goes above and beyond and I am so grateful that we and our friends were able to enjoy an evening of culinary delights. 🙏
