2nd time having Sally's. First time was very good. Today's pizza was just tooooo burnt. I know the char is their thing and I actually enjoy it but the char is all you can taste today.

Ordered a large cheese to go. Interior of the restaurant seemed nice, staff was friendly, parking was ok but probably limited during peek hours. Pizza was good New Haven style pizza, sauce was good, burnt edges, little floppy. Overall good pizza, not sure I would spend $25+ dollars again.

This review is based solely on service. We showed up tonight EARLY at 4pm for a 4-top, and there were several tables empty, and we were told that they WERENT SEATING ANY MORE CUSTOMES BECAUSE THEY HAVE SO MANY LARGE PARTY RESERVATIONS LATER TONIGHT. What pizza place requires a reservation, and at 4pm?! I get that it’s NYE, but this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever been told by a PIZZA PLACE. We were excited to try this Sally’s since New Haven is a haul for us. Sadly we will not be going back to this location. Instead we drove 4 miles up the road to our Old Reliable, Frank Pepe’s, where I currently sit as I write this review. If we bother with Sally’s it will be at the OG location and not this hole.
Highly recommend, just make sure to call ahead or bring a book cuz weekend wait times can be a bit long. Pizza is fantastic.

The service was ridiculously slow and forgetful. The pizza and other food is average at best and definitely not worth the price. This is the second overhyped New Haven style pizza place we have tried. The other one (Frank Pepe’s) wasn’t much better. I have had far better pizza in Boston and the surrounding area without spending a fortune. Never again. Go back to Connecticut.

People actually like this place ?!? We listened to the “hype” and tried it out. Garlick bread as an appetizer was ok. The pizzas were basically burnt thin cardboard with sauce on them. I don’t like hating on servers but ours was horrible. She forgot a couple of our drinks. She told us our pizzas were coming out shortly twice. Two tables around us received all their food and they both came in later than us. If anyone consider this great pizza then they need to get out more.
