excellent friendly service, delicious food, awesome date place.
My husband and I reserved a table for an 11:30 AM birthday lunch on a Thursday during Boston Restaurant Week. We arrived a few minutes early, and upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the hostess and a friendly gentleman near the bar—later, we discovered he was the owner.
Since the hostess needed a few moments to prepare our seating, we waited at the front, engaging in pleasant conversation that provided us with some background on the restaurant’s history.
Once seated, our server Issa promptly welcomed us and offered drinks. We opted for water, as we were mindful of our calorie intake.
Having already reviewed the Dine Out Boston Lunch menu, we were ready to order. My husband chose the mixed greens salad, the eggplant panini with fries, and the poached pear, while I ordered the mixed greens salad, rigatoni bolognese, and an affogato biscotti for dessert.
As we waited for our meals, complimentary warm bread was served. Everything turned out to be delicious—the salad dressing was outstanding, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The bolognese had a creamy texture without being too heavy, the fries were perfectly crispy and hot, the eggplant panini was full of flavor, and the desserts were delightful.
We enjoyed a lovely conversation with Issa during a relaxed lunch service, and we look forward to returning soon.

Small buisness lunch. Food fas well presented and hot food was hot. Atmosphere beautiful. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was preoccupied with side work. 2 other people, so not so busy at the bar. We waited a bit for items, drinks, and clearing plates. Overall, it was a great experience

We recently dined at Sogno to celebrate my husband’s birthday while a dear friend was visiting from out of town. Given its proximity to our home, we thought it would be a convenient and enjoyable spot for the occasion.
We arrived a little early for our 7:15 PM reservation, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to place our orders until nearly 8:00 PM. The delay stemmed from an odd interaction with our initial server. After ordering cocktails, we requested to have our 2018 bottle of Guado al Tasso decanted (not served) - a necessary step for a wine of that caliber and price ($250+). However, the server refused, citing a rule that guests cannot have two drinks at once (which is Massachusetts law, though the law maintains more than two, not more than one). This made little sense, however, as decanting is a preparatory measure, not service. Given Sogno’s impressive wine list, this policy (or misunderstanding of it) seemed particularly frustrating. She claimed that she was going to decant it and put it on a separate table, but instead disappeared.
After she disappeared for a good half an hour, another server - a gentleman who was both professional and attentive - took over our table. While we greatly appreciated his service, the transition felt awkward, as if we had somehow offended the first server with our very normal request, which briefly dampened the celebratory mood.
That said, the live jazz covers of modern and classic hits helped set a wonderful atmosphere, and the food was delicious and presented with care. We started with the wagyu tartare and the eggplant appetizer, both of which were wonderful. For the table, we shared a couple of slices of pepperoni pizza on the side before diving into our mains: cotoletta di vitello alla Valdostana, osso buco, and tagliatelle alla Genovese. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we ended the night on a high note with pizzelle and zeppole for dessert (and a candle!).
Despite the initial rough start, our second server made up for it, and we enjoyed the rest of our evening. Sogno has a lot to offer in terms of food, ambiance, and wine selection - but hopefully, they can provide better clarity on their service policies, especially when it comes to decanting and maintaining service with tables so that guests do not feel ignored.

Sogno fed my team a few dinners during our time in Woburn. The pizzas were great, the Polpette (meatballs) were so good and the Salmon…get the salmon! Thank you so much to everyone at Sogno for making these great meals for my team.

Great meal, although their prices are off with other great Italian restaurants in the area. Price doesn't always mean better.

Good food and service! Burrata ravioli is really good. But the best part was their dessert Dolce zio! I would just go for the dessert again!

First time here and walked away very impressed! The menu was terrific, huge cocktail selection. Main courses were the Osso Bucco and Branzino, both of which were delicious. Our waiters were incredibly attentive and kind.
The restaurant itself was kind of loud but probably to be expected for a Friday night. One other minor criticism is that it kind of feels like Sogno doesn’t know what it wants to be. Is it upscale italian fine dining? A place to have a few and watch the game on the giant TV at the bar? A joint that hosts bands and other live entertainment? All were happening while we enjoyed our dinner.
Either way, the meal was great and the atmosphere fun. Mr. Martignetti himself walked around the dining room and greeted patrons like a gentleman. We will definitely return.

Food was good but on the expensive side. The soups were very good, I had the lasagna and my wife had pizza. She wanted pizza but after the meal realized she probably should have had something else. Lasagna was light and the bolagnase good. Deserts were very good. Overall, a nice dinning experience but expect to pay about $80-$100 per person for a complete meal with tip.
