Surf, you deliver a consistent and outstanding dining experience! The service both at the bar and our booth (Shaylin) were perfect. The Korean BBQ scallops are always amazing! Be sure to split a Surf salad...it's the best.
Service was excellent, food and sushi lots of choices and all very good. The Warm buttered Sushi and Korean BBQ scallops were fantastic. New additions to the menu that I'll be trying on my next visit
Had an amazing experience at surf! The sushi is always top notch so when our server, Jade, suggested the special sushi of the day, I knew I had to try it. Jade was very attentive and her recommendation was 10/10. Can't wait to be back!
Great food. Weird breeze at bar. Doors open all around. We had a drink and some apps at the bar. The servers weren't very attentive. The bar was pretty empty. Once we were seated for dinner, the breeze was not hitting us anymore, thankfully. Our waiter, Scott, could not have been more attentive. He was excellent. We ordered dinner and two people in our party shared dessert. For appetizer standouts, the chowder fries, and the fried green beans were excellent. The seafood trio, Korean barbecue scallops and the brussels sprout salad were excellent choices for dinner. This is my third time here and will be back.
Our Birthday celebration visit to Surf was a disappointment. Our food was mediocre only all around. While the Fisherman's platter had flavor - the plate was not abundant as other reviewers indicated. The crab cake at $20 contained way too much filler. We wanted this experience to be best. Our special occasion, my birthday was not not noted in any way (might be the fault of open table). Lastly the service was lackluster at best. I researched and thought Surf was something special - unfortunately for us it was not. With the high cost of dining out, unfortunately, we will no return. I wish others a better experience.
food is always good here. ambiance is nice too. Service was a challenge. Had to track down waiter for order, then she was a bit gruff. needs more training. Wont be back for a bit. Probably the summer help has no formal experience
We love Surf for special occasions. It was my first time in the Woburn location which is beautiful.
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Surf. We ate the bacon wrapped scallops with jalapenos, the crispy garlic and shrimp sushi roll and the seafood bake. The waitress arranged to have the plate split in the kitchen so we both got a perfectly heated and divided portion. Drinks before dinner were very enjoyable. I recommend making reservation and allowing extra time to park as the restaurant is located in a busy area with other restaurants and shops.
The food was delicious, everything. The most unbelievably amazing are the lobster mashed potatoes. They were the only selection that could not be changed. Luckily they came with the Atlantic Haddock which was possibly best I've ever had. However you can swap other sides for these (with up charge) or order as a side. Worth every penny! The booth tables are not comfortable and the restaurant is noisy. Petty complaint because the food is so good. FYI the green beans are great, desserts not so tempting. Will be back, hopefully often.
Food could not have been better - fresh and exactly what we wanted. We enjoyed sushi, oysters, and a salad.

Surf was amazing as always! They were able to accommodate our party size change and even moved us to their outside seating upon request. The food was absolutely delicious and we weren't rushed at all. This is a staple for our friend group and we will be back!
The seafood tower and sushi was delicious! We had Hot & Dirty Martinis and espresso martinis and they were fantastic. We will definitely be back!
Fantastic dinner at Surf. Started with the Deluxe seafood tower which was a great value, loaded with more seafood and variety than I expected. The tower had many options for our different palletes really covering the bases for all three of us. Dinner was excellent. Our party had the hot butter lobster roll, one (1) sushi roll and the Shrimp tiki masala. All were outstanding in taste and generous portions. Our waitress was attentative and the food arrived shortly after ordering. Couldnt have picked a better spot to enjoy a dinner out with my wife and daughter.
A lackluster experience. We were sat in an area by the bathrooms. Seems to be where they put all the families with children (we have a 3YO). Never given a kids menu. It was loud. We were greeted before we even sat down. Our server said he'd come over to take drinks orders. 15 minutes later he came back. I had to flag him down to order appetizers. We ordered Lobster Fries and the warm lobster Maki. Food came out shortly after. Fries were hot, Maki was at best room temp. Now, we've been here for 45 minutes & still haven't ordered entrees. I'm over this whole situation at this point. A family with an infant is sat directly behind me and the child is just whaling in my ear. Not her fault, just did nothing to add to this experience. Perhaps don't put all the families in one romper room situation? Not all children are going to be disruptive. I once again, flag down our server to ask to order. He says he'll be right back and another 10 minutes goes by. We order. Food comes out. My food is cold. Fish tacos. Fries are hot and the tacos are not. My son got the ramen. Never received a spoon. No one checked on us until well after our food was delivered. Our server never even noticed he didn't bring my son a spoon. At this time I was completely overwhelmed with this experience. Child behind us is screaming, my food is terrible and my son is also not eating. I just wanted to leave. I didn't eat my food, neither did my son. We asked for the check, (also took a considerable amount of time to process), and we left. Walked right by who I assumed the manager was, he said nothing. No thank you, or anything. Not a good look. It was a waste of $223. I've had beautiful meals at surf in Portsmouth, unfortunately Woburn didn't compare.
The Portuguese Stew would have been much better without the sausage. The seafood flavor was overpowered by the sausage.
