Tembo Grill is so good! We stopped in on a cold day for lunch, having never tried Kenyan food before. We ordered goat and chicken stews, with seasoned rice, coconut rice, vegetables and greens. We also got samosas. Everything was delicious! The meats were tender and flavorful, the sauces were perfect. The samosas were so good we wished we weren’t so full! The people who work there were also very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!
I had the goat stew and the pilau rice, the blend of flavors was so fantastic and the goat was stewed to the perfect texture. The mural inside is also gorgeous and service was very courteous. I’ll definitely be back soon!
This simple and unaffected dining space belies the delicious food served. We enjoyed the crispy fresh samosas, which were delicious and only a little spicy, sausages, fresh chapati, goat and beef stews, greens and both spiced rice and coconut rice. The greens in particular were excellent, finely chopped and robustly flavored, while the meats were tender and the sauces were rich and savory.
