This is the spot for authentic Jamaican food. Food is consistently good and warm. The porridge on Saturdays is awesome and red peas soup on Saturday is rich and delicious. Inside can be a bit noisy sometimes so not necessarily the best place for dining in. Natural juice is often available along with the intermittent Jamaican delicacies such as peanut drops, gizzada and bun & cheese. The curried goat and fried chicken are usually my go to. For breakfast, ackee and saltfish with boiled food is a great option.

Food is very good. Skimpy on the plantains and oxtail (pay a lot to get a little). Cabbage is very bland and could use seasoning with tender love and care. Will be back in the future !

Iāve gone here many times, I always get the oxtail and stew chicken
Today I called over the phone, ordered that combo. Guy on the phone asked if I wanted medium or large, I asked how much the large was and he told me āI donāt knowā and his accent was thick and didnāt want to push it so I went errrrkay I guess Iāll just get the large (regardless bc I was really in the mood for their food)
I go to pick it up and the guy charged me $38.
I was shocked at the price but I wasnāt about to be the only white boi in the shop complaining about the prices. So I just took it on the chin and left.
Got home and after eating my food, is what made me decide to leave the review. I feel like that dude def scammed me and I didnāt get the normal amount of food like Iāve gotten there before.
There was the smallest triangle of mac n cheese. 2 bites. You usually get a decent square of it. $38z
Oxtail was terrible. Chewy. Everytime Iāve gotten from itās been so good. Today I barely ate any of it. $38.
The stew chicken was fine, but both portions of the meat I got were so small. FOR $38?!?! Iām angry if you canāt tell.
Worst offense was he barely gave me any gravy for the oxtail and the chicken too, and I just love putting it over the rice but that too was also dry as hell.
Bad. Bad bad bad. Never coming here again.

The best jerk chicken and curried goat I've ever had! A small box-filled with meat, rice and peas, steamed vegetables and plantains-was big enough for two! Aretha was so welcoming and friendly; we will be back again soon!
