Went for a solo dinner while in town for work. Sat at the bar - bartenders were great. Had a delicious Boulevardier off the seasonal cocktails menu and the muhamarra sandwich. I have never heard of it but it was awesome! I will definitely be back to order more off the menu!

This place wouldn't last 6 months in more competitive market. Smart business decision by the owners to know their level and open in worcester.
Dated, boring menu. Poorly executed. Entitled servers. Arrogant bartenders.
There are 3 better restaurants on the same street.

Went to this place on 01/02/2026 around 6:00 PM with my elderly mother. We did not have a reservation. I approached the hostess and was told there would be a 30–35 minute wait, which I agreed to. While waiting in the bar area, the hostess offered us a high-top table. I explained that my mother would not be comfortable at a high-top due to her age and that I was willing to wait longer for a low-top. The hostess checked and confirmed a low-top was available.
We were seated by the window and ordered drinks, appetizers, and entrées. After about 45 minutes to an hour, my husband joined us briefly for a drink only—he did not eat. Everything was fine up to that point.
Shortly after, a female staff member who appeared to be the manager approached us while we were in the middle of eating and drinking and asked us to move to a high-top table because there was an upcoming reservation for our table, even though the table next to us was empty. She claimed we had been there for over two hours, which was not true. She also stated that restaurants usually have time limits and mentioned that the original seating was for two people and that we added a third without informing them. The table comfortably fits three people, and as stated, my husband only joined us for a drink.
We still had food on our plates and had not even had the chance to order additional items or dessert. Drinks, appetizers, and dinner naturally take time.
The manager then said that because they had “kindly accommodated” us without a reservation, we needed to either move to a high-top table or pay our bill and leave. I explained that I made a reservation immediately after being seated and that we were never informed the table was time-limited. I also reiterated that my mother is elderly and unable to sit at a high-top.
Unfortunately, the manager was unwilling to work with us and handled the situation in a one-sided and unprofessional manner. The interaction became unnecessarily tense and loud. We are frequent customers and often spend $200–$300 per visit, and this experience was disappointing. Based on this interaction, customer experience does not appear to be a priority. I later called the restaurant to make a general complaint so the owners would be aware of how the situation was handled, but the manager hung up on me. I also forgot to mention that one of the staff members spilled hot coffee on me as I was returning from the restroom. I did not complain about it at the time, but in hindsight it added to the overall disappointing experience.

Great dinner at Armsby Abbey! Food highlights include the Mediterranean board with homemade hummus and whipped feta, the fritters, the PEI mussels (so tasty) with grilled bread and the dark chocolate mousse for dessert was delicious. The mulled cider was great on a cold winter’s night. Our server Sam was awesome and would love to have her again. Overall, a great pub. I can’t wait to come back.

We loved our last brunch meal here in November but today's meals were all awful, hate to say. Maybe the head chef was off?? We had to wait over 45 minutes for our food (group of 4) and none of it was good today. The hash option was missing the chimichurri sauce and eggs, leaving the meal very dry. The breakfast sandwich egg was not cooked, the quiche had a coating of salt making it far too salty, the side of greens didn't have dressing, the Tartine was missing an egg and the bread was so hard that I needed a chain saw to cut it. I couldn't chew it. Two sides of bacon were cold.
Really dissatisfied in today's service and food. We brought a guest there specifically because we loved our last meal there but today was a huge disappointment.
I guess it's hit or miss at this restaurant. Likely won't go back anytime soon.

It’s everything you want in a gastropub. Friendly, dark and cozy. Great beers and amazing food. Had the Society & Solitude with the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese lives up to the hype. I’d travel back Worcester to try the rest of their menu.
Parking: There’s a parking lot next door that’s free in the evening. Don’t park in the back behind the building.

The food was delicious! The somewhat poor service left the biggest impression however. Our table came in on a saturday afternoon and it was relatively quiet. Our waitress did not check on us once after we got our food. There was an issue with an order that could not be corrected because we couldn't find her. When it was time to check out she apologized was busy tasting cheese with the rest of the staff. It was rather unprofessional and overall it felt like we were bothering the staff.

Great beer selection and the food was fantastic and arrived quickly. Highly recommend and is a great spot for pre-concert food and drinks if you’re going to the Palladium

Mac and cheese was fine. Had croutons that were old and soaked in oil. The steak frites had old cold fries and the steak had clearly been sitting out for a while too. Why the ratings are high who knows
