Very unwelcoming staff. Rude when we asked for Mike options other than the half / half out on counter. Not a place to start your day… to bad, used to love it here…

I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. I have eaten a lot of cakes from well known places with good reputations. The cake can be dry or the cake/frosting tastes like chemicals you wouldn't find in your own kitchen.
The cake I ordered from Bean Counter Bakery was perfect. It was just as I requested. It looked fantastic but it tasted even better. The cake was incredibly moist and flavorful. The buttercream frosting tasted exactly like a fancy buttercream frosting you'd make for yourself in your own kitchen. No chemical or other after taste.
Every guest that had some raved about it. And I looked like a hero. Thank you, Bean Counter Bakery!

Coffee was burned. Cupcake had a stale taste. Really disappointed in the quality here
I love this selection that this place has however it is extremely expensive for baked goods and coffees. I was also a little disappointed that more things were added to my order than I asked for. There are plenty of seats and it was very quiet I was able to get a few minutes of work done while enjoying a lemon tart. A loyalty program or student discount would be much appreciated.
Vegetarian options: It's bakery so there aren't very many things that have meat however vegan options were slim
Parking: As a lot to shared with other businesses that were not many parking spots available and you have to park at an angle
Wheelchair accessibility: It shows that is wheelchair accessibility but the actual getting into the building in a wheelchair would be a little difficult and navigation once in would also be difficult

I needed two custom cupcakes same-day after another popular bakery could not fulfill my order until the following day. Bean Counter graciously made my cupcakes while I waited (10 minutes!) and saved the day. Thank you to the staff who went above and beyond to make this happen in such a time crunch. Exceptional customer service!

The wedding cake was alright. Alice... well Alice is something else. Eventually we just bought a package deal through our venue for the wedding that included the wedding cake from the Bean Counter that my wife wanted (it was the look of the cake, three tier and "elegant") and that way we didn't need to deal with Alice. If we did have to keep dealing with Alice, we would have gone elsewhere or made the cake ourselves and I'm confident I could have made it look just as good. The cakes and pastries are ridiculously priced. I'm NOT saying it's not good, I'm saying it's CAKE not some rare exquisite delicacy... over $100 for a single 6" cake... come on. It's flour butter and eggs. Plow on enough buttercream frosting and anything will look good when you smooth it out. Be ready to sign a contract if you get a wedding cake from here. No joke.
Edit: improved rating, wife liked the cake and was happier than me.

I tried a latte and three chocolate cake today at the bakery, there was a huge assortment of options, the coffee was hot, the cake was fresh, my friend had a tart which was really good. The staff was nice and friendly, Alice the owner was extremely kind, nice and accommodating. I enjoyed my time at the cafe If you are around drop by and give it a try, sweet cute little cafe with great options and very nice people behind the counter.
Vegetarian options: Vegan and gluten free options were available, also catered to lactose intolerant needs.
Parking: Free parking space in front of the shop.

Wedding review! We chose a simple vanilla with vanilla buttercream cake to have on the cake table for the purpose of cutting the cake for a photo, it was a simple two tier cake that served 28 people. In addition we purchased sheet cakes that were also vanilla with vanilla buttercream and a second one that was chocolate with vanilla buttercream and it was a HUGE cost savings- about half the price of a traditional wedding cake.

Our wedding cake and assorted desserts were such a big hit. They offer an assortment of gluten free and vegan options, which guests also raved about. Everything was delicious, highly recommend.

annual visit of despair just to continue to show how bad this place is. worst bakery in the country. buy donuts and a cake from stop and shop and that would be michelin start compared to Alice’s dump of a restaraunt

Extremely rude young man, I had to break up his personal conversation with a female employee. When I did the rest of the time ordering he was behaving poorly … too bad it looked like a nice place with lots of pastry selection
