I used to love coming to this place the vibe the atmosphere cozy. Never again. Even on an uncrowded Friday morning, the attitude and service is beyond slow and horrible. A simple breakfast sandwich, 30 minutes with barely anyone in the restaurant. This is no way to run a restaurant and definitely a great way to lose customers.

Most of the menu takes 10-15 mins to prepare, so we took out a soup. It came with a focaccia bread. So yummy - a homemade soup. Pastries were made with butter. A big space to eat in. Coffee was great as well.

Medium hot latte, medium cappuccino, a bagel with cream cheese, chicken sandwich =$36. The bagel was smaller than a supermarket bagel. The “hot honey” chicken sandwich was a warm-ish piece of chicken, white cheese, on a boring ciabatta role with honey on it, zero hot honey type taste. The sandwich also had a spinach and carrot slaw that was oddly sweet. Multiple people behind the counter chilling and talking, meanwhile the table we sat at had food scraps and sticky spots all over it. Then the payment tablet asked me for a tip. Bummer that a formerly good place is not the same. I’ll pay an expensive price for good food and service, and this was not worth the money.
Let's summarize, shall we? The customer must jump through hoops in order to dine here. The customer must scan a code to view a menu online; painstakingly order online; pay the bill online (including the tip, before knowing how the experience, or any such service, will be); retrieve napkins, silverware, and, if inclined, water; and take away the dishes, glassware (to be placed in a specified rack), and recyclable items. So what exactly are we leaving a tip for?!?! The default setting for the tip is 18%... Although I did like the past e fagiole soup, the sandwiches were sloppily thrown together and not particularly delicious. So I personally won't be going back.
Excellent coffee. Surprised the brioche for breakfast sandwich was stale. Not what I have learned to expect from the Birch.
easy to user QR code menu, not hard getting a table during lunch
Nice place but avocado toast wasn't good. Coffee was kinda OK.

The fries were amazziinngg. The drinks were really yummy and not too sweet. Everybody working there was super friendly!
Always great food.
The wait time is rude, I understand that food is prepared on the spot, but 15-20 minutes to deliver a sandwich?
The space is both beautiful and so open. I think that this is one of the most welcoming coffee shops that I've been to in some time. Looking forward to going again!
Wonderful food 👌
