new years eve plans to go to breens..they don't answer the phone. Fb and I G says there open..drive there closed at 4pm...wife calls lady says open until am..no posts on socials saying closing early, ,,,why would a bar close early????? drove an hour,, very disappointed. ..

After seeing so many reviews on their sandwiches, especially regarding their steak and cheese we final decided to go and try it out. My husband goes in and sits at the bar to place the order(we tried calling ahead but no one answered the phone) as he waits for the lady to come take his order. She comes states there is no steak and cheese and that he can leave.. Very rude and dismissive. The elderly couple to the right of him stated “ did she really just say that” and the individual on the left that was over served started to laugh. It was embarrassing belittling. Won’t recommend this place to anyone! Service was rude and sad because the menu looked good.

If you like waiting for someone to take your order while they know you're waiting and proceeded to check on other guests first and are rude to you when you ask for a steak and cheese sub and she says it just came in and it's frozen so NO! And you like making awkward 3 point turns to find one of 3 parking spots, and like being approached by the less fortunate in a place you can't readily get away from them then THIS PLACE IS A 10 OUT OF 10! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Food and prices are reasonable, as is the environment. Would definitely visit again, but I was left rather confused about 1 thing. The owners name is Paul Hanlon. He should rename the place to Hanlons Cafe. Sincerely, Mr. BREEN

After seeing reviews talking about how amazing the Steak and Cheese was at Breens, my wife and I had no choice but to check it out. Maybe we came on a bad day? On the day we visited, the place was absolutely jam packed with people watching a college football bowl game. Seating was a free for all, luckily we found two stools near each other to sit at. We eventually figured out that we needed to go up to the bar to order our drinks, so I did that. Then we wanted to order food, but the only menu we could see anywhere around was on a chalkboard-looking thing above the "kitchen" area, so I snapped a picture of it and my wife and I decided what to get. While there were several yummy-sounding things on the menu, the only food items they had available were burgers and pastrami (I think). And that was it. So I ordered one burger that my wife and I split. But they were apparently out of burger buns, so they had to put it on a sub roll. Honestly, the burger tasted really good, well-seasoned and plenty of juiciness. But it was very weird eating it on a sub roll. But the good taste was the only thing that saved my review from being 1-star. This seems to be a bit of a local "secret" type of place, and maybe next time we're in the Worcester area we'll try it again (still want that amazing Steak and Cheese I keep reading about), but our first experience was nothing short of disappointing.

The bar tender working tonight denied my friends ID honestly we drink here all the time but because it was out of state he asked for a pass port as proof. Who carries a passport to a bar…. The guy was on his high horse I’ve never had another bartender here deny his ID! I don’t know who hired this bar tender but he need to learn how to tell a real ID from a fake cause this is ridiculous. We always take care of the bartender so to be treated the way he did is not it :/ find bartenders that know what they are doing because I’m a regular but if this keeps up I will not be returning
Heard about their steak and cheeses subs so wanted to give them a try. They usually don't do take out when it's busy but made an exception. The sandwich was stuffed with meat that was nice and tender. Came with chips and a pickle. It's cash only but would definitely recommend it.
