I really like this place. When I visit, I order the pork sandwich. It comes with all the fixings: lettuce, tomato and onions and fresh fries, not frozen; since this place is also a bakery, the bread for all their sandwiches are made daily. The decor is antiquated, but the food makes up for the atmosphere. Lastly, they offer tipical Puerto Rican food and sweet treats.
I live 30 miles away - I was at Wachusett and looking for a bite before heading home. The man and woman behind the counter were warm and welcoming and the pernil sandwich with hand-cut fries were exactly what I needed (as I was warned by some other customers that I was chatting with I was only able to finish half). I would definitely come back next time I’m rolling through Worcester. Want to try the mofongo and tres leches based on the reviews!
The only bad thing is the lack of parking. It's only a few spaces, and if you go around noon, it's crowded and there's no parking. On top of that, it's only ONE handicap ♿️ spot, and it's used by an employee, who told me once, very RUDELY that when I complained that it was his car and he had a handicap placard, even though it was not displayed and he didn't want to show it.
