This is a B2B review. Courthouse Brew Co is a an anchor business and a vendor at our market. And they bring a lot to the table. You can say it's even a focal point of the market.
It is a pleasure working with Dan, Mark and LeeAnn. Their brewery is a great place to hang during or after the market. The beers are very good and made with great attention to detail.
The food is another thing altogether! Mark outdoes himself on a regular basis. He makes everything from scratch for his bar tacos. The cheese board needs to win an award. They host small parties too. It is just such a great thing to have them part of our market!
Literally bumped into this place while visiting the Worcester Farmers Market - WOW is all I can say - what great small batch IPA. I was greeted by a super friendly staff who offered up samples for tasting and found and IPA to die for - In Re Strata - It was very testy - and a new favorite
Great beer selection, delicious chicken tacos, and friendly service!
Lots of small breweries out there. This one has a homey vibe. There are some good beers and we liked the quality and variety of the hummus plate: olives, feta, veg, and bread. Not enough to lose a star, but the Rock'em Sock'em Robots was not in mint condition. 😂
Great brewery! So happy to have discovered this place on my most recent trip back home. Highly recommend checking it out.
Great place off the beat and path in Worcester for awesome craft beer!!
Great Brewery warm and inviting atmosphere Dan the bartender was an outstanding host and very knowledgeable about craft beer and interestingly enough about the Court System Lol. I really enjoyed tasting the entire beer roster and enjoyed all the unique flavors and blends of ingredients. The locals are so friendly & make you feel at home here. I can't wait to visit Worcester again to come to this brewery in particular, what a hidden gem in Massachusetts!
Went for the first time 4/19. I loved the use of the historic building. The space was clean and welcoming. My husband ordered the sour and the red ale. He enjoyed both. We shared the cheese plate. The plate was excellent. The owner was friendly and hard working!
Absolutely will be back many times
We love catching a pint here, and seeing what's new on the menu! We've enjoyed live music as well here, it's a nice place to catch up with friends, and the staff is really great!

We love Courthouse Brew Co! Tasty beer and cozy atmosphere with games for the kids (and adults). A nice place to spend the afternoon after adventuring with the kids.
On this calm morning before the winter storm, I discovered a hidden gem in Worcester: the historic MJ Whitall Mills. Built between 1870 and 1930, this industrial complex once symbolized Worcester’s vibrant manufacturing past under Matthew Whitall’s leadership. Today, its legacy endures, and on its first floor, you’ll find Courthouse Brew Co., a brewery that blends history, creativity, and innovation.
The first thing that caught my eye was their logo, featuring a hop—an essential ingredient in brewing. Hops serve multiple purposes in beer production. From a chemistry perspective, they introduce α-acids, which during the brewing process are isomerized into iso-α-acids, providing the characteristic bitterness that balances the sweetness of malt. They also contribute aromatic compounds, giving beers flavors ranging from citrusy and floral to earthy and spicy. From a biological standpoint, hops are natural preservatives, inhibiting the growth of microbes and enhancing foam stability, making the beer fresher and more enjoyable.
But Courthouse Brew Co. doesn’t stop at tradition—they take pride in breaking it. While the 1516 Reinheitsgebot, a Bavarian purity law, limited beer ingredients to barley, hops, and water, this brewery gleefully defies it. Their creations include coffee and molasses stouts, as well as IPAs featuring pineapple, cinnamon, and lactose—bold, unapologetic experiments that redefine what beer can be.
As I enjoyed my beer in this beautifully restored space, I couldn’t help but appreciate the combination of history and innovation. Courthouse Brew Co. isn’t just a brewery—it’s a celebration of craftsmanship and bold creativity. Cheers to breaking the law and making exceptional beer!
Really good beer!!
I can’t recommend the Courthouse enough! The craft beer, cocktails, and mocktails are always fresh and tasty. My committee held a private event here on a Wednesday night, and I was blown away by how amazing the staff was. Dan, Mark, and Lianne really went the extra mile to make sure everything went smoothly — they were so supportive, friendly, and attentive. The Courthouse isn’t just a taproom; it’s a cozy, welcoming spot that makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. It’s truly a hidden gem that’s definitely worth a visit or two! Cheers!
Outstanding staff and beer!
We recently held a Saturday morning event at Courthouse and both Dan and Mark were so wonderful and accommodating. They provided an additional table and seating for us, made up some grazing platters, and made the whole day easy! Truly wonderful people, and the beer is great too!
