We had been looking for a new source for our Swedish food items The Crown was recommended. We tried it and were impressed with the taste and quality of the items we chose. Definitely will return.

Sorry to say this is not the crown bakery of yore. We were very frequent buyers at Crown Bakery for years when it was the original owners and everything was wonderful and fresh. Not the case anymore- cakes are no longer beautifully decorated and the taste of their cakes are horrible.

This is the worst bakery with customer service and paying for what you order. I ordered a birthday cake 2 weeks ahead of party. Asked specifically to have Traditional Butter Cream Icing because my children do not like Whipped Icing or Italian Whipped. Picked up my cake no problem. Went to cut and serve the cake and all the kids were spitting the cake out. I asked what's wrong, they said it's whipped. I tasted it it was whipped icing had no flavor. 3/4 of the cake was left no one would eat it including adults. Couldn't call bakery at night it was closed. Called bakery the next day they are closed Sunday and Monday. Called Tuesday was told to bring cake in because they couldn't find the order or receipt. I had to work on Tuesday, was in area, so I told them I would come the following day. Called the following day which was Wednesday and the older lady I spoke to wasn't even there was told to come in the next day. The next day I was out of the area working. I live an hour and twenty minutes away from bakery. Couldn't come, so Friday of course is Memorial Day weekend couldn't come. Finally Tuesday came I was able to bring the cake in. It's been two weeks with a almost a whole cake. Brought it in the lady kept stating to me it's butter cream, I said it's whipped not what I order. She said let me talk to my boss will give you a gift certificate or your money back. She calls me back same day and tells me he will give you half your money back. I go you have 3/4 of a cake back seriously 26.99 your going to fight about. She said I will have him call, as of today no call. I called the bakery and they put me on hold for 20 minutes and no one answered the call. This is the worst customer service, not only did they take my money but got a whole cake back. Did not get what I ordered buyers beware!!!!

If you're looking for a nice place with a great atomsphere, look no further. Their coffee selection needs improving.

I was very disappointed with them. This past weekend. They mess up my entire order and had a waitress agueing with me. Finally called the manager that I placed the order with and she confirmed it. Still had to wait another 20 minutes and was late for me event. Never again with them.

Delicious pastries of all kinds! The Swedish cakes and pastry and the best, and you can't get them anywhere else! Cardamom buns, princesstorta... The best!
I'm disappointed that I'm leaving this review. I started coming here in the 80's with great satisfaction. I visited to get our family favorite of a Tort cake for a birthday party, on Friday..the day before the weekend when the masses are off. Didn't appear to have the usual stocked shelves of years past...or offerings as in the past. No whipped Creme Tort cakes on the shelf, never happened in the past 25 years, Butter Creme Available... ok lets do it. Birthday candles? Those are all we have on the hanger, my luck wrong year, no small generic either ...just Buy the cake, The Gal was nice, hadn't ever seen her before and headed off. We had the party, cake was stale to boot. Hate to say it, Old tradition is gone...most likely Gerado's Is the place to go in Worcester...Sunsetting at Crown...another classic gone before they knew it....

The staff are very nice. Service was efficient. I came specifically for queen cakes. I was very disappointed. They weren't at all fresh and were hard and inedible. We threw them away. Lesson learned, even at a bakery keep your receipt.

Very good princess cake. But we asked how much the smallest cake could serve and they said 6-8 but when we picked up the cake it was literally the size for 1-2 people. very disappointed that the cake was also $15 for that size portion...smh, never had this experience with previous owners.
