Before I left MA, I was able dig into fried clams with the bellies. Overall, the food was great. They use a delicate batter that make the clams and onion rings tasty. It was a bit more than I wanted to spend but the restaurant was clean. It lacked a “homey ” feel of New England restaurants of the past (Red Coach Grill), but it did have great lighting.

I ordered the Fish plate, with Onion rings. Fish had no flavor, Onion rings were still Raw.
I also got a cup of the clam chowder, While PACKED with Clams and potatoes, it lacks any seasoning, and very watery, needs to be thicker to consider it a Chowder.
Service for the counter was relatively good for take out.
Restaurant was clean but very empty maybe 1 older couple dining in.

There are probably 100 places to eat in Worcester. Kelly's roast beef is nicely nestled between two of those large national food chains where what you get in Worcester is the same thing you get anywhere. Kelly's is a unique institution in this area and it is completely worth a visit. Whether you eat inside the clean restaurant, or choose to drive-through there's something for everyone on the Kelly's menu. Obviously you might choose the roast beef sandwiches, but they have burgers and seafood as well. Also, the staff is friendly and attentive. The service is speedy and the prices are fair. If you're looking to try something that you might fall in love with, try Kelly's roast beef.
It was a good meal but I made a few mistakes as a rookie ordering a roast beef sandwich. I added on two things to my sandwich and didn't realize that when you do it add on they take away the barbecue sauce and the cheese. That won't happen again. The second mistake I made was take out, you can't keep things hot picking up and taking home. Both of those issues are customer mistakes. The actual food the sandwich was good I actually added barbecue sauce to it when I got home horseradish sauce was punching and the onions were good. The onion rings unfortunately were cold (see above). They're exactly the kind on your rings I love. I will be going back and trying the roast beef sandwich how they make it. I will also be eating in to make sure my food is hot. With less mistakes on my part I am excited to try Kelly's again in the near future

With the quality i usually get at kelly roast beef locations, its a wonder how this one even exist. Terrible quality of food served here, terrible quality of employees as well, and terrible prices. It really sucks when you see something that used to be great get ruined like this.
