I ordered a sushi roll and requested to add cream cheese. When I arrived, there seemed to have been a disturbance with police there to handle an out of control customer, so my order had not been started yet. This was not the restaurant's fault at all, and I completely understood their delay in getting my order ready while dealing with that. They were apologetic/extremely friendly and made the sushi roll right away. I didn't even wait longer than ~2 min. Turns out they added extra cream cheese (which was awesome!) and gave me a free salad to make up for my wait. They didn't have to do that. Those tiny little customer service details go a long way and didn't go unnoticed. Plus the food was great! No yum yum sauce compares to Kyoto's - it's the best.

Absolutely no taste whatsoever to the miso soup. It’s literally boiled water.

Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The tapenaki (sp?) is very entertaining and delicious. They make a great MaiTai

Place was just not good
I'm sorry food was blah. Not a hibachi place yet to compare to osaka.

Seemed like a generally clean place, very quiet for a Sunday night. Sat at the hibachi table and could tell they were stalling for another party to come in… which never showed up. Wish they would have mentioned something about it because we would have been happy to sit at a table to be able to just order. Kind of annoying. Overall, the food was bland and the fried rice was weirdly creamy and not seasoned. If you like them to just throw yum yum sauce on it then this is the place for you. No garlic, salt, pepper, teriyaki, or anything. Yum yum was not fun fun.

The food is nothing special, but it’s good and it’s near by so I don’t mind going. My review is mainly about the cleanliness. There is a ring of grime along the walls surrounding the whole dining room. It’s pretty nasty. I don’t mind eating at a hole in the wall, but it’s not exactly cheap to eat here and the restaurant should reflect that by at least not being grimy, literally. Also the menus smell bad and the tables are sticky.

Is a good place to go
$40 for warm sushi with overcooked rice. Very disappointed they thought it was ok to serve it to us with it being so obviously mushy.

I have never had a bad experience here in over 10 years. The owner is the hardest working guy who treats all his employees with respect and grace. I love coming here and will always come here over other japanese style hibachi's. Try the mai tai and rock and roll, roll !

Worst Chicken teriyaki I have ever had. The meat was hard in texture, probably never cured or marinated properly. Far substandard in a Chinese restaurant. Sushi (we had catepillar) was mediocre.

We go here for the reasonable maki prices, but they also have hibachi, sushi, and sashimi. Drinks are delicious, and not too bad price wise. Most of the combos feel like a bad deal, so we usually order a la carte.

I had my son and daughters 18 and 20th birthday there and their service was so respectful and the hibatchi cook was so much fun and very entertaining, i highly recommend and look forward to going back again. Everyone had a great time!
