I have been a loyal customer of Nancy Chang for years because the food quality has always been outstanding. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me very disappointed.
I spent over $40 on takeout lunch and specifically asked the cashier if it was okay to sit at the tables outside. She told me it was no problem. Once we sat down and I was feeding my grandbaby, the manager, Sarah, came out and told us we had to leave because takeout could not be eaten outside. I explained that I had already asked and was told it was fine, but she didn’t care that we had a crying toddler waiting to eat.
When I asked to see the written policy, she said there was none and that I simply had to listen to what she was telling me. That kind of dismissive and unprofessional behavior from management left a really bad impression.
It’s unfortunate that such a great restaurant with excellent food can have its reputation damaged by poor management decisions and lack of customer care.

Our waitress waited until the last minute to take our order, knowing we were ordering from the menu she failed to tell us ended at 4. Of course, we were ready to order for 15 minutes waiting for her but she only came at 4:01. When we asked if we could still order because we had been ready to order well before 4, we were simply told it was a no. Extremely rude and not coming back. I shouldn’t have tipped at all.

The food and services is amazing. We all had 4 different dinners and we were all very happy with our choices. The scallion pie appetizer is a definite winner. General chow chicken is crunchy on the outside and tender juicy chicken on the inside. We will definitely go back. They cater events also.

I've been a loyal customer at Nancy Chang's for 20 years, and the food and service have consistently been outstanding. However, my experience last Friday was a bit of a letdown. While the food and drinks came out fine, my server seemed to lack any enthusiasm or warmth, which made the meal feel less enjoyable.
To make matters worse, I was seated next to a table with a variety of duck sauces, so I grabbed two for my meal. A few minutes later, I overheard my servers discussing something just a few feet away, and then they moved all the condiments to a table just three feet from me. It felt a bit like I was being treated as though I'd done something wrong.
What stood out was how unprofessional it was to have a conversation so close to a customer, and then to move the condiments only a few feet away for no real reason. It was a minor annoyance, but when I dine out, I expect to feel respected and valued.
I usually tip 20%, but because of this experience, I left just 10%. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be dining at Nancy Chang’s again anytime soon.

Best Chinese food spot in New England, bar none. Great place to grab dinner and a drink. Great staff and comfortable setting.
Excellent place. They've gone through changes over the years, and I was sad to see the buffet go, but their food has remained consistent. Delicious options for meat lovers, vegetarians, vegans, those not eating sugar, and those who are gluten-free. Highly recommend.

We were at your restaurant today, the food was just OK but the other things that bothered me were the menu. They were very hard to handle very stiff plastic. The pages just stand up straight and very hard to flip. The other thing that we did not like was the containers you gave us too Take home the leftovers they were God awful to deal with very stiff cardboard that wouldn’t stay clipped shut kept popping open very disappointed.

The waitress was kind.The food absolutely horrible very tasteless crab ragoon was just warm cream cheese the fried r8ce was tasteless very tiny buffet dessert sliced oranges and chocolate pudding seriously you can do better then this for the prices you charge i will never return ever again
