This location is amazing ! They are so careful about my weird allergies as well as compassionate and excellent food. Only pizza place I order from, and Thomas the manager is absolutely fantastic !

Huge shout out to Papa John’s on Chandler st for truly making some delicious pizza. Also be very good at understanding what “a whole lot” means. I asked for a whole lot of Pepperoncinis and IGOT a whole lot of Pepperoncinis. The service was great and was able to enjoy a quick laugh with the staff. I think I just may have found my new go to spot for pizza. I also forgot my 2L (my fault, not theirs) and the store was nice enough to allow me to have it given to the next customer who doesn’t order one. 5 stars all day long to this location and their staff. Kepp killing it y’all.

Better ingredients do not make better pizza by themselves. You need a good recipe. Papa John's sauce is dull. It tastes like good tomatoes with no spices or garlic. They try to make up for it with garlic dipping sauce and spice packets but those are no substitute for properly made tomato sauce. It needs to be cooked in.

We ordered one original crust with sausage and one thin crust with bacon, mushrooms and onions.

Their original crust was okay. The thin crust was not worth eating. After eating 2 slices to give it a fair try, I threw out the rest of the large pizza. We were disappointed.

Pizza not good

Today, 5/25/25, I was a first time Papa John's customer. The employees were nice enough and the food was 100% satisfactory. However, I did have a problem while attempting to order over the phone. It was tedious on a level that can scarcely be described. My call went to a call center in India, I believe, based on the woman's accent who answered my call.
Really ?!?! A call center ? For a pizza ? After getting disconnected on the first call, I called back, only to have some woman get the address wrong 4 times before finally connecting me to the actual location from where I wanted to order from in the first place. That's 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back. It is indescribably rediculous to have a pizza order go through a call center, and then to have someone so inept answer the phone, that she couldn't get the address correct after multiple attempts. It was frustrating on a level I've never before experienced.

Papa John's deserves a mention. The entire city teems with great cuisine. No chain could ever top that. But, Papa John's is open until 3 am and the service is personal and welcoming. It's a late night stop for people out late nite, doing late nite things, and this is a fun quick stop with decent chow for the money and you'll make some new friends before you refuel and go back to howling at the moon. There are ten thousand college kids in Worcester. Late night pizza is a requirement.

Read the Uber orders properly please. They told my uber eats driver that I only ordered 1 two-liter bottle and so only gave him 1. I ordered 2 and he knew that. What the heck.

Drove a half hour to pick up my order for them to tell me they're out of the crust for my pizza.

I feel possessed to write a review because of how awful my experience was!
(I am writing this ten minutes after eating their food because I was really contemplating wasting my time to do so)

Papa John’s is ONE of my most favorite places ever!
Once the restaurant closed down in Leominster, MA, I didn’t think it even existed anymore!
Well, it does, in Worcester…

My husband drove the 30-35 minute drive to literally surprise me with their famous pizza and cheese cups!
When he got home, he told me how rude the female at the register was and how awful it felt to even be in there because it is beyond less than welcoming to their customers!

He also opened up the box of pizza for me to not only see that it was barely cut into slices but to feel how cold it was. He clearly ordered THERE-at the restaurant.
Obviously a 30-35 minute drive home wont keep a pizza super freshly hot, but it should still be a good warm temp!!

Unfortunately, I did eat some of it because I was so excited to just taste their pizza and cheese cups again, but I fully regret my husband spending his money at a restaurant who take ZERO pride in what they do and neglect to put quality into every order.

Sadly, we will not be eating here ever again, even if it is my favorite pizza place ever.

Online ordering doesn’t work. The staff is incredibly rude, especially over the phone. I will never be ordering anything from this location ever again!
