Real review of a real situation. But I’d like to mention one thing before getting into it: the half pound lobster roll was absolutely delicious. The bread, lobster quality and quantity, and flavor were all high marks. Probably the best lobster roll in the region. I’ve tried them all. Or at least most. This lobster roll is delicious. And it has a true half pound feel. That aside… I ordered takeout. Half the order was incorrect and a clam chowder was missing. It happens. This place is so fantastic, however, they wanted to go way above and beyond to rectify the situation. I’m so impressed with Sole. And very thankful we have a super solid (actually excellent) seafood place right here in the Wu tang.

Went to the seafood, sole proprietor the worst service ever at the bar ended up, leaving after one drink
The service is always on point here and they made my Mother’s 50 birthday extra special. Thank you to Samantha and Uri.

Best place in Worcester for seafood, hands down! If you have a kid at WPI, this is the place to eat when you visit.

The sole proprietor is almost always a very, good restaurant. Tonight’s experience was the first. I ordered two orders of sushi that were very dry. The rice was warm, very sticky, very heavy, not at all when I was used to. This was the first time I’ve not enjoyed sushi from there. Maybe it’s because I came in at 8:45, but I didn’t see my wait personfFrom the time I ordered until it was time for the check. No one asked if everything was OK, and I had to get up to get more soy sauce. The water came at the end of dinner, and the rolls came after we finished. Not sure why the dry sushi, but maybe the lapse in good service was because of the lateness of the hour. The Sole will get another try with me, because it’s usually consistently very, very good.

Had a reservation at 4:30 for a birthday we were seated promptly . Drinks order was taken and we looked at food menu. The birthday boy wanted muscles so we started with those . Lobster risotto and salmon were both delicious . Tiramisu for desert was very good.

They had a good selection of oysters and the chowder and bisque were very filling and pretty good. For my main course I had the crab stuffed sole. I didn't enjoy it, the sole was mushy and the crab stuffing wasn't good.

The Sole Proprietor was filled to the rafter, the reviews were good so I was surprised by pretty mediocre food. The service was excellent, attentive and prompt but we left quite a bit of the food unfinished because it was not good . It started well with a nice selection of oysters. The bisque chowder was oversalted, and my husband agreed to swap for his chowder. I liked it better, but it was not great. Very thick, not a lot of clams, but at least not oversalted. My main entre was the scallops. There was so much salt on them that in crunched on my teeth. The risotto the scallops were resting on was a pool of butter. The name did say buttery scallops so maybe it was supposed to be that way, but I did not like it.
One other note is that the lady's room does not have enough capacity. There was always a line and people knocking on the stall door once you managed to get in.

My wife and I enjoyed our Lent Friday dinner of fried North Atlantic Haddock. Best fish dinner we have had in a long time.
Fish was moist, flaky and very tasty. The portion is generous.
Cannot wait to go back.

I had an awful experience. Two over cooked filets, a third filet that only got seared and cooked on one side. Overdressed Caesar salad. A slop of mashed potatoes that covered the entirety of the plate. The lobster got buried in that mess with so much sauce I couldn’t tell what from what. For the money spent? I would have been better off at Chilis, maybe Red Lobster. Disappointed is an understatement.

I am so sick and tired of the Sole Proprietor not looking at their orders and sending incomplete food screwing you out of your hard earned money. While caring for my grandfather on hospice unable to leave they sent my food without my sauces or sides and now again today on Valentines Day. If you can’t give and prepare your to go meals in the correct way, DON’T OFFER THE SERVICE! When you call they say take it up with DoorDash who refunds $4 on a $100 plus order. They refuse to change the food, even if you hire someone to drive it back and pick up a new one. Their customer service IS THE WORST IN THE INDUSTRY! Shame on them. They just lost a twice a week order FOREVER! I lt probably won’t matter to them, but u hope people reading this who are home bound, are going to think twice before giving their hard earned money to hacks to pass the buck and steal your money!

While in Hudson Massachusetts for work I wanted to eat some good fish. So I asked around and there was many suggestions but one stood out The Sole Proprietor or simply The Sole. So I gave it a shot. The atmosphere inside restaurant is great I was immediately seated. Shortly after that the waitress Maia S was at the table taking my drink order and my appetizer. The food arrived in sequence as I ordered it and everything was as delicious as it sounded on the menu. I had the maple cider glazed swordfish. Absolutely phenomenal. The taste, the texture, it was nice and moist, the pumpkin risotto was exquisite. No complaints whatsoever. If you want to experience a fine dine-in restaurant for any occasion and you want to have fish on the menu this is definitely the place. Fish is not the only thing they serve they have other things. This is where it's at y'all. If you're near this restaurant don't miss out I encourage you to experience it. You will not be disappointed.
