Fresh, home made healthy meal and drinks.Plan on socializing a little while the food is hand made to order. A few books to read in what appears to be an old bookstore.Three of us stopped to eat on our way to a health seminar at the local college. It was recommended by other vegetarian friends.I ordered the Mango passion drink .We order the classic burgers, French onion burger and artichoke panini. Food tasted fresh and delicious. Will go back .

Since Nicole from the Cafe was nice enough to comment on my review and was left wanting for details, I will elaborate more on my experience. Nicole claims that the day I went must have been the 1-2 days per year they were not able to strive for excellence. Judging by the common complaints amongst other reviewers, I feel my experience was much more typical than a happenstance 1-2 days per year. My experience compares with other reviews as follows, and until these issues are seriously examined and rectified, I will not be returning. Nicole from Vegan Nest Cafe, take this advice to heart: Timeline: ARRIVAL: 11:30AM on a Sunday EMPLOYEE B ARRIVAL: 12:15PM OBTAINED DINE-IN ORDER: 12:45PM 1. Understaffing - The cafe is woefully understaffed. My experience also comports to other experiences that there might be just one person (Employee A) working there, taking orders, prepping the kitchen, and cooking the meals all at once, and for that we give this person the benefit of the doubt. The problem, and I've seen this in other reviews, is that a second employee (Employee B) will show up much, much later to properly relieve Employee A from having to take orders and actually start providing customer service. How is one person supposed to support a whole cafe on the weekend without additional help? If Employee B cannot show up at a reasonable time to help out on the weekend, and the assumption should be that weekends will be busy, additional staff should be added. It is not fair to Employee A or to the customers at all. By the time Employee B showed up, there were easily 6 tables waiting for orders and plenty of people in line waiting to place their order. 2. Underpreparation - Similar to above, but more explicitly regarding the timeline in which orders are taken and prepped. If the restaurant opens at 11AM, then everything should be up and running well before that time. By the time we arrived, Employee A was still in the midst of getting the kitchen set up to start filling orders. If both employees were in, then the kitchen would have been up and running faster. Once customers start showing up and giving their orders, things will only get busier and orders will take longer. An 11AM open time is unrealistic if even the 1st customer isn't getting their meal for an hour. I have been to many weekend brunch places, and even busy, crowded ones will still get orders filled in a timely manner. I had the feeling that the employees did not fully comprehend basic restaurant service. We also did not receive our coffees until after we received our food, and were never given any water. The most basic amenity of having a pitcher of ice water and plastic cups for people to self-serve themselves would have been much, much better than nothing. 3. Unprofessionalism - When Employee B arrived, a bunch of their friends also started filtering in and waiting by the front counter and chatting with Employee B. This created a number of issues, including distracting Employee B from doing their job, blocking the counter, and making it more difficult to get their attention if you needed an update on the order. This should have been discouraged from the outset and it really shows any lack of care for the customer that they have been waiting for an hour to even receive their drink, and we have to look like the a****** for coming up and interrupting socialization time, because we paid a bundle for a meal and have no clue how much longer we will be waiting. And yes, interrupting socialization time definitely earned us nasty looks to make us feel like we were out of place. And we are supposed to feel welcome here? 4. Air Quality - As the kitchen got going, the grease fumes wafted throughout the entire cafe and reached our table, which was at the far corner. There is apparently no exhaust or ventilation system capable of managing this. Our eyes were tearing and we could barely breath. I had grease stink on all of my clothes and had to put them immediately in the wash as soon as we got home. This just made the waiting all the more uncomfortable. 5. Food Quality

We went to The Vegan Nest Cafe for lunch today. I ordered the vegan supreme pizza and the chai latte. Both were delicious! The service was friendly, efficient, and the food was ready quickly. Will visit again next time we are in the area.

Food was okay, very long wait. The steak had this really horrible seasoning on it, and would've been great without it. The wait time was VERY long. The mac and cheese was good and my boyfriend liked him Buffalo "ckn" sandwich. I thought it was very overpriced too.

Came here for Sunday brunch and there was only one person working, who wore his mask under his chin the entire time we were there. He hardly said a word to us. Brunch menu wasn’t in the restaurant, had to go to website. Food took 50 minutes and we were only the second customer in the restaurant (one person ahead of us who arrived for a takeout order, his food wasn’t even started). Crepes with fruit was just soggy crepe with only blueberries (frozen not fresh) with zero flavor. Savory crepe meal also had hardly any flavor, zero spices used. Both meals not flavorful whatsoever.

Honestly, such a great place. My boyfriend and I were on the way back to New York after a weekend vacation from Boston and hit this place for lunch on the way. Nicole was so nice and the food was home cooked and so delicious. It is so encouraging to see such a nice place that is completely vegan with such great food and a welcoming environment. Not to mention the prices were more than reasonable. I would definitely eat here again!!!

Let's see... three of us arrived at 11:30. We ordered some food to eat in and some to take away. There was only one person working who was not at all friendly. The for here food and drinks arrived after 45 minutes - the French onion burger was not as described, as it is a weird mushy starch patty on a giant bread roll with a tiny garnish of partially wilted greens on the side. I asked for a coffee and received an undrinkable watery beverage that I now understand is not actually coffee but "agroforestry copomo seeds" even though it is called coffee on the menu. My friend asked for a large iced chai and received a small hot one instead. Then the to go food took another 45 minutes, and we were late getting out the door, not expecting we would not even have our food by 1pm when we arrived an hour and a half earlier. There are many better vegan places in Worcester. I will not be back.

My husband went in to get food here with friends and bring something home for me. There was literally only one person working in the entire store. Their food and even beverages weren't ready for at least 45 minutes. The food that they had ordered to go took around an hour and fifteen minutes (half an hour after the food they ordered to eat there). The friends were visiting from out-of-state and the incredibly slow service caused them to be late heading home even though they left extra time. My husband ordered the "French onion burger" for both of us. It was essentially a big, bland hash brown with some sauce and cooked onions slathered on the top served on a weird, hard type of bread not at all resembling a burger bun--there was nothing "burger" around it at all other than the shape of the flavorless patty. It did not appear to be "cheese-stuffed" to either myself or my husband. It was significantly overpriced at $15 before tax/tip with no sides (unless the tiny amount of decorative, plain greens in the box are considered a side). It looked nothing like the photo posted of the allegedly same burger here on Yelp 3 months ago and was honestly not good at all, the only good thing about it was the onions and I would be disappointed to have paid even $6 for the lackluster sandwich I received. My husband and I are vegan and I like to support vegan businesses so this was our second time eating from here as my husband wanted to give them another chance (although I urged him not to) and was the second time we experienced mediocre, overpriced food with very slow service from this establishment when the last time was years back. They clearly haven't made any improvements. If they are so drastically understaffed, they should be closed rather than giving customers a 0 star experience and offering nothing as consolation. I will never be coming back here, ever. I hope that they can reorganize their business to keep the patrons they somehow still have, but that will never include myself and/or my husband again. I will actively be cautioning fellow veg folks against coming here, there are plenty of vegan places popping up in the area with much better food and service. Edit: The last time I was here I had the mac n cheese. Another reviewer mentioned that they ordered the same thing and it was greasy and not cheesy. My experience with the mac n cheese was identical to this reviewer's back when we visited pre-COVID. One of the worst, if not the worst, vegan mac n cheese I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Spend your hard-earned money here at your own risk, the food and service are not worth it.

Amazing fresh and delicious vegan food. Family owned and operated, very friendly and hospitable couple. Cute little place with a positive energy and nice atmosphere.

Not open during the hours they say they are. Don't bother coming here, unreliable staff and overhyped coffee.*** Edit in response to mgmt's response: expecting patrons to check social media to see if the restaurant they plan on going to is quite stupid, I'm leaving my review at 1 star.

The best in Worcester! Great food and even better service! Cannot recommend it enough. The Broushet family will go above and beyond to fix any issue you have. The "best in Worcester" award from worcester magazine is well earned for both cuisine and service

Great place to get food! Family run all the way through. They take your order cook and serve your food. They definitely work hard. But it’s well worth it. It shows! Everyone should give this place a chance. Also it’s black run so if that’s alluring to you get in their and go support the family and give them some great business! Super chill atmosphere and very nice people! I always love coming here when I pass through. I won’t go without it.
