I have never once left a review for anything but I had to leave one to warn people about this place. I am nearly convinced that a large chunk of these reviews are paid/false. There is absolutely no way that someone from New York believes this to be the best TexMex food they’ve had.I’m often hesitant to try ethnic restaurants on the Cape because as someone who grew up in a city with easy access to a slew of great restaurants serving all different world cuisines, I am often underwhelmed. Unfortunately, saying that Golden Jalapeno underwhelmed me is being too generous.Not only were these dishes plain, bland, and something I could’ve made as a teenager, but my cheese wasn’t even melted. The guacamole’s taste is most easily compared to that of the Sabre pre-packaged guacamoles you can buy at the grocery store. Someone in my party ordered a steak quesadilla and instead got some crumbled meat that looked like beef but tasted unidentifiable. We had horrendous service the night we went (waited an hour for our food and were rarely checked on), but I won’t even harp on that as I think we just happened to stop in on an busy night. The decor was also lacking and inauthentic at best.The worst part is that I paid more for my meal here than I would’ve at better Mexican restaurants on the Cape and elsewhere. As for the quesadillas, Chipotle genuinely would’ve done a better job, and same goes for the guac.The only redeeming quality of this place is their giant drinks. Someone in my party got the loco coco (lime and coconut) and it was great.I hope you instead spend your time and money at another restaurant.

Had what should have been a very simple dish, hamburger tacos. The tacos were dripping grease and very soagy. Not very good. Only thing authentic I walked away with, the Tijuana two step.

Wow, what a great meal and experience.Stopped in for a late lunch with my girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. There were 4 or 5 other groups dining at the same time. The server (I wish I could recall her name) did a great job, despite the fact that they were a little short-handed, and she seemed to be serving all the tables and working behind the bar mostly by herself.The owner then came out to assist her, and went around to all the tables to check in and talk with all the patrons. He was a very nice gentleman, and made us feel welcome.When our food came out, we were delighted with the taste and quality. I had the steak fajitas, and my girlfriend had one of the specials - Korean style brisket burrito. Both meals were delicious. I particularly liked the thick slices of onion and peppers, along with the roasted tomato that came with the fajitas.We will definitely add this to our list of favorite restaurants in this part of the cape.
I can't even begin to say how much we loved it. Best meal of the year. Wonderfully thoughtful owners. Beautiful and spotless inside. ADORE!

Last night we dined at the Golden Jalapeño in Yarmouthport. Frajitas, quesadillas and of course flan for dessert! Food was spectacular and the host, Luis was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend! Shout out to Morgan as well!

Love this place, I always get a quesadilla or tacos. Margaritas are delicious. Anyone who questions any tequila in the margarita is simply a HEAVY drinker, there definitely is tequila in the margaritas. Will be back next time!

Tried this great place today. Had a great meal. Staff were friendly and engaging. Food was fresh and flavorful. We had enchiladas mix (bean & rice one was great). I had the golden jalapeño style pork nachos and they were great size and filling. We also had Beef empanadas and a steak Quesadilla. We each had a margarita and everything was wonderful. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
